Dear Sai Devotees, We continue with Sumathi Satakam............. ---------------------- 73. O Sumati! Beware that even Bheeshma would be doubted if found talking to

a married woman. (Bheeshma – a character in Mahabharat – took a vow not to ever marry and not to look at women with desire.) 74. O Sumati! Beware of sons that are not following your guidance and instructions; also beware of servants that disobey your orders. Both situations need immediate change. 75. O Sumati! Do not talk lowly about others; Do not visit others’ homes without a reason or cause; and do not mount untamed horses…these will undoubtedly get you in trouble. 76. O Sumati! Do not bank on the favors of the rulers/kings all the time – just because they favor you now doesn’t mean it will last; Do not live in a farm that stops yielding good crop – find an alternate place soon. 77. O Sumati! Breakfast eaten after teeth are brushed, nap taken after a hot bath, and patch-ups between couples after silly fights are enjoyable. 78. O Sumati! Working for a boss that does not appreciate your effort is akin to swimming upstream in a river. 79. O Sumati! Just as water added to milk dilutes the taste of milk (though keeping the external look of milk), friendship with a crook will dilute the value of friendship (though keeping the look of friendship) 80. O Sumati! Beware with helping fools; it is similar to rescuing a scorpion from falling

into fire only to be bit by the scorpion – as it has no appreciation for the favor received. 81. O Sumati! Do not attempt to do things that are not assigned to you, and do not attempt friendship when the other side has no interest. 82. O Sumati! Know the

essentials: a village needs a creditor, a crop needs water, an elephant needs its trunk, and ornaments need a woman to flourish. -------------------- OM SAI RAM!
