Om Namah Shivaye, Thank you very much for posting such an informative article. Mahadev, I too practice the same with Lord Venketeshwara ( Tirupati Balaji temple). I started donating small percentage of my income at the Lords " Hundi" and I am doing this for the last few years. I am really benefitted by this and once while talking to the Chief Pujari of the temple he informed me that most the heavy donations for the temple are coming this way only. This temple collects the second most best donations in the world after Vatican ( Church). The big businessman has made Lord Venketeshwara as their partner in their business and the profit of His share they donate at the temple at te end of every year which is supporting numerous charitable activities.
