Guest guest
HUNDREDS HAVE YATI DARSHAN http://starofmysore.com/main.asp?type=news & item=21864 <http://starofmysore.com/main.asp?type=news & item=21864> Mysore, Sept. 13 (KCU & KK)- More than 500 devotees participated in a unique Yati Darshan, a programme organised under the joint auspices of Avadhoota Datta Peetham and Digambar Jain Samaj in the premises of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram here today. Jain Munis 108 'Antarmana' Prasanna Sagar Maharaj and 105 Paschim Sagar Maharaj were felicitated on the occasion. The programme began with an invocation rendered by the students of Jain Samaj School. Discourses were given by the Jain Munis. Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji and junior seer Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji graced the occasion. CM's Parliamentary Secretary S.A. Ramdas, Addl. DGP Om Prakash, Exhibition Authority Chairman B.P. Manjunath and District & Sessions Judge M.S. Bellakki were present. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ramdas observed that it was a privilege to have a darshan of the Jain Munis as they symbolise the Almighty. Om Prakash observed that following the preachings of the Jain Munis would cleanse the mind and drive away evil thoughts. People should try to understand everyone's feelings and respect each other, he advised. In his discourse, 'Antarmana' Prasanna Sagar Maharaj observed that amassing material wealth is easy but to become a saint is a difficult task. Practising celibacy, loving all, simplicity and sacrifice are the means to achieve sainthood. One's richness is not defined by his wealth but by the person's behaviour, he added. A poor man is one who cannot even spare a few minutes to think of God, opined the Muni praising the ambience of Ashram which is virtually overflowing with waves of music, thanks to the efforts of Ganapati Seer.
