lagna is the rising sign aka ascendant. it is the point on

the easter horizon of the earth when you were born. the eastern horizon’s

edge obviously points to a set of stars as well as zodiac sign. this sign and

stars (constellation) is the point of the ascendant aka rising sign, lagna.

lagna is the Sanskrit term for rising sign aka ascendant. it is the most vital

point in your chart because it is how you come into this world. it also

represents your body. so when you walk outside the people that come in contact

with you is through your rising sign as it represents your body. the ascendant

sign has a lord ruler. this is your ascendant lord. the ascendant lord is

technically you and where he is placed determines where a lot of you will be.

the moon where it is placed determines where your karmas lie. hope this helps

you understand your chart a little better. there are plenty of good websites

for you to browse through for further enlightenment of yourself.

namaskar,
