Railway Concession Order for Sai Devotees visiting Puttaparthi

 

1. Women after 45 years of age 50% ticket cost

2. Tickets to SSPN puttaparti at 50% cost to everybody(men & women) of any age

3. New train chennai-SSPN puttaparti Fridays dep.11.30PM/ arrv.10.15am,

 

SSPN puttaparti-chennai Sundays dep 7.10pm/ arrv. 5.15am

 

All devotees may kindly note and save a copy of the attached document which is an intimation issued by the Railway Ministry granting 50% concession for railway passengers travelling by 2nd / sleeper class to Dharmavaram / Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam station during the following festivals :

 

 

 

Mahashivarathri - February 2009

 

Guru Poornima - July 2009

 

Krishna Janmashtami - August 2009

 

Onam - September 2009

 

Dussehra - September 2009

 

Deepavali - October 2009

 

Baba's Birthday - November 2009.

 

 

Kindly note that the concessional ticket shall only be issued on production of a letter from the State President of the Sri Ssthya Sai Seva Organisation to the effect that the concerned passenger is going to attend the celebrations at the particular festival.

Sairam.

What is the difference between points 1 and 2 of the mail on the captioned subject.Some explanation is required since point 1 looks superflus as fifty percent concession is available to men amd women of all ages.

Also it is cumbersome to get a letter from the state president every time one wants to visit Parthi during the festivals mentioned in the mail.
