This morning the onam celebrations

began with the arrival of our beloved Swami into the Sai Kulwant Hall. Swami

was welcomed by a band and many devotees from kerala in beautiful costumes. As

soon as Swami reached the veranda one of the VIPs had some health problems.

Swami offered him water and Vibhuthi. And the devotee was taken in stretcher.

There were bhajans and aarathi after that all the programs were canceled. But

there will be programs in the evening.

 

Yesterday evening there was a musical program by the devotees from kerala. It

was nearly a 3 hour program filled with wonderful musical and classical songs.

After the event Swami presented all the participants with clothes. Swami also

presented on of the performers who was visually blind with a gold chain for his

musical performance.

Emperor

Bali stands forth as a sterling example of one who stands by his word whatever

the circumstances. That is why the people of Kerala (a state in South India) worship him to this day and celebrate the

festival of Onam in his memory. What is it that is adored today? It is the

virtue of truth. Without truth nothing has any value. Love is the supreme

value. It is not worldly love but Divine love that is precious. That Divine

love encompasses every other form of attachment to friends and others. Cultivate

the enduring friendship of God. Emperor Bali was prepared to offer everything,

including himself, to God. That is the spirit in which Bali

surrendered to the Lord; that is his greatness.

Kaiser Bali steht voran als ein meisterhaftes Beispiel für jemanden, der zu

von Wert. Liebe ist der höchste Wert. Es ist nicht weltliche Liebe, sondern

die andere Form der Bindung (Sympathie) zu Freunden und anderen. Pflege

(kultiviere) die dauerhafte Freundschaft GOTTES. Kaiser Bali war bereit, alles,

sich selbst eingeschlossen, GOTT zu geben. Das ist die Gesinnung, in welcher Bali sich dem HERRN ergab; das ist seine Größe

Raja Bali merupakan contoh teladan seseorang yang dalam

kondisi bagaimanapun juga - senantiasa berpegang teguh pada ucapan-ucapannya.

Itulah sebabnya orang-orang Kerala (salah-satu negara bagian di India Selatan)

masih tetap menghormatinya hingga hari ini dan dirayakan sebagai festival Onam.

Hal-hal apa sajakah yang patut untuk dihormati dewasa ini? Tak lain adalah

nilai-nilai luhur kebenaran. Tanpa adanya kebenaran, maka tiada sesuatupun yang

berharga. Cinta-kasih adalah aspek (kemanusiaan) yang termulia. Yang dimaksud

di sini bukanlah cinta-kasih duniawi, melainkan cinta-kasih Ilahi yang amat

berharga. Cinta-kasih Ilahi mencakupi segala bentuk kemelekatan terhadap teman

dan kerabat. Pupuklah persahabatan yang langgeng dengan Tuhan. Raja Bali siap untuk mengorbankan segala-galanya, termasuk

dirinya kepada Sang Ilahi. Semangat pengorbanan seperti inilah yang membuat

Raja Bali menjadi sangat terkenal.
