Jai Guru Datta

Some of my family members have read my last post here, carefully and understood.

Some have not. But I would stick to my views. If you need any clarifications,

ask me. I am here only for that.

One of my brothers, after long years of love with India and Indians, considered

himself as an Indian. Like some from India, considering themselves as Westerners

after long years of Western touch-ups. While some have dutifully followed

Swamiji's advice on the intake of less oil and long brisk walks and obtained the

goodies (like the physique of a 25 year old Hollywood actor) I, once a fitness

aficionado, just sit at my comp all the time, and try to put the blame on the

'other' cultural things.

But I was referring to Indians in general. How many of them have the opportunity

to be blessed with a Lord, like our own? I just answered to the question, why so

many of them are just 'rice killing machines'. Of course there are others, who

are watchful about the 'other' cultures, and do what like one of the family

members has pointed out. Not to blame the cultures. And control the desires and

all that. Perhaps the family member delve more on his experiences, on how to

control the senses of the self and make others (other Indians) to stand up to

the challenges posed by the 'other' cultures? Like how he does it?

Coming back to the invitation of Brother Agastya Muni, about sharing the

experiences in the nutritional diet, for the healthy mind and body, I am fully

with him. Our Lord told us on that day (April 18th?) and 3 years ago too, about

proper food and proper exercise. In fact what he had said on April 18th was,

surprisingly and exactly what I followed, 18 years ago!

The way, our Lord motivates us, is too sweet to put in words. And because of

this group's position (it is the Internet and many unwanted people too see

this)I shall answer to this particular diet and other experiences on

motivations, if the email is sent directly to me. I was told by a senior most

person, not to write very personal things here.

But I had my body weight reduced by 30 pounds in just 3 months. And scores of

other benefits too. And it should be noted that, there was no fat flab either at

the beginning of the reduction. Know what it is?  If the fat is more in a

person, he will lose tremendous amount of bodyweight in a shorter time at the

start of any weight reduction course. But I had no fat flab, still I managed to

lose 30 pounds! (All this happened several years ago)

I have stopped putting the blame on external forces last week, and after I burn

away lots of karma and about 50 pounds, in this new regime, I shall write and

share my experiences here.

If one listens to the Lord, and get into any effort, He will bless us with the

opportunity, and the motivation, sometimes bordering on ways unimaginable and

also pleasant to the soul.

Jai Guru Datta. By the way, I have noticed a word in the  Bible, 'abba'. Does it

have any connection with our Lord being called as 'Appaji'? Of course, all the

words in all the languages, there was, is and will be, shall refer Him, the

Almighty, our Lord. Right?

Ohm Aiym Hreem Shthreem Shivaraama Anagha Dattaaya Namaha!
