Sai Ram Ramyaji

No, because " jeevah jeevah khadati " – one creature feeds on another

creature. But there are certain foods, which are natural, like the

child who is nourished by his mother on her breast-feed. Human being

eats vegetables and after his death his disintegrated body returns

to the soil and becomes a part of the whole vegetable world. But,

killing an animal means we have finished the consciousness which had

reached a higher level, and eating the flesh of a human means

finishing the consciousness which had reached yet higher level than

animals. Saints who have reached a highly evolved state of

consciousness, do not eat anything. Upasani Maharaj did not eat

anything for one year. Some saints bring about such changes in their

organic system that they can nourish themselves on the direct energy

from sun.

Dear Sister

Sairam.

Its both. Wrong because,

1. digestion takes long time hence dieseases

2. Creates Rajasic/thamsic tendencies one who consumes (tendencies decides your thought process that leads to action and binding results)

3. effort and energy spend to cook and preserve is high

4. creates bad odour in the body

Sinful Because :

1. Non-violence involved by killing which is visible (though one dont kill directly, but supporting the activity)

2. you are not allowing the animal for its next evolution

3. If you are great at Heart, Loving all creatures, you would never involve either directly killing and cooking or supporting by buying that food.

.. God has given intellect to select the right food which could elevate the human to the next level, to the God level. Non-violence is the basic requirement and adopted by all the religion/religious leaders for a higher purpose of living and growth further.

this is my personal, humble opinion. Swami Says, As is the food, so is the Mind. More the food Rajasic, More the restless mind. Yoga and Yogi evolved by controlling both the tongue and Food. that alone will take you to the next level of Evolution of the Human Being.

Hence one should not (after knowing that food control is important for spiritual growth) get stuck in food alone and complicate further. The food should lead us to easy flow of breath (air control) and then to Mind control and then to Intellect control and finally to Sleep control.

Which finally leads us to Know that whom We are really? We are divyatma Swarupa and Prematma Swarupa ( as always bhagawan addresses us)
