Guest guest
April 13, 2007 - This evening, the three day celebrations of Tamil New Year and Vishu of Kerala got underway. Balvikas children from Kerala were seated in the middle of Sai Kulwant Hall, and a musical presentation was being arranged. Bhagawan came to the Sai Kulwant Hall just after 3 o'clock and went into the interview room. He emerged after an hour and came onstage in His chair. Instead of remaining there, He came down the central ramp towards the Balvikas children, and then went on a full round of the Sai Kulwant Hall in His chair, granting a close darshan to the children and the devotees from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, moving around both on the gents' and ladies' sides while laddoo prasadam was distributed to all. Once He returned to the stage, the Instrumental Fusion music programme got underway at 4.25 pm. After fifteen minutes, Kavalam Sreekumar, the vocalist, sang a few songs. At five o'clock, the Balvikas children began their Bhajans. Bhagawan was very pleased with the Bhajan singing of the children, and He was particularly touched by a visually handicapped boy playing the Harmonium. He came down from the stage, got up from His chair, and started distributing clothes to the artistes who performed. The young Harmonium player got not just clothes, but also a chain from the Divine Hands. Bhagawan instructed that sarees be brought from the store room for giving the girls, and waited onstage with the Bhajans going on till the children finised their stock of Bhajans at 5.55. Then He asked the vocalist to continue, and two songs later, asked the students to start singing. After a few bhajans, a Meera song and some more songs were sung by them. Meanwhile, the sarees arrived, and Bhagawan got them distributed to all the Balvikas girls. Only after He was satisfied with the distribution did He ask for the Arati - at 6.40 pm. As the Arati went on, instead of getting into the car and leaving for His residence, He went in the chair itself to Yajur Mandiram.
