Saturday, January 31, 2009 This evening, the Chinese devotees from the South East Asian countries continued their Lunar New Year celebrations. Bhagawan was ushered into Sai Kulwant hall in a procession with lion dancers and children chanting mantras at 5.15 pm. The Singapore Sai organisation President gave a brief welcome address after many traditional items like red packets and Mandarin oranges were offered to Swami. This was preceded by chanting of Buddhist and Vedic mantras by the children. Dances by children from Indonesia and Malaysia were followed by a drama 'Love and Gratitude' in which these values were brought out in three brief parts. A couple of songs and bhajans in Mandarin were followed by a bhajan by the students while prasadam was distributed. Swami then accepted Arati and returned to His residence at 7 pm.
