Happy Janmashtami to you all!

I have just come back from ISCKON temple! The celebrations were

awesome! I just wanted to share a little experience with you all.

Krishna made me buy this book named, " Krsna " which has most of his

leelas of those times. It is a very interesting book - I can't believe

that some days ago I just had one thought in my mind to get such a book

and boom, I got one today without even looking for it- (a volunteer

stopped me and told me about the book)..

Krishna also reminded me two weeks ago that I shouldn't forget to come

to ISCKON temple to see him on Janmashtami day! Here is the story - 2

weeks before Janmashtami: I was buying my weekly train pass and thought

of buying a North Sydney weekly pass instead of City weekly so that I

could go to ISCKON temple on Sunday (as I hadn't been to that temple

for ages, but I am a regular at Sai temple)! At the last minute I

changed my mind and didn't buy that pass - I thought of not worrying

about going to the temple this time as well as I had a lot of things to

do during the weekend.

The next day I go to this hald Korean food shop for the first time and I order 2

pieces of the veggie pizza and there was a polite Korean lady on the other

side. She asked me whether I was a vegetarian and I told her that I was

since childhood. Next day I go to the same place and she asks me, " Are

you a devotee? " . I was totally surprised and I confirmed, " Did you say

'devotee'? " , and she says, " Yes, Krishna devotee? " . I said, " Yes, I am,

I am a Krishna devotee! " wondering at the back of my mind about how

does this polite lady from Korea know about Krishna. Then I tell her

that, " I am Krishna's devotee and I follow my Guru too. His name is

Shirdi Sai Baba. " She says she has a Guru too. Then she tells me that

she goes to the ISCKON temple and she is also a devotee of Krishna. At

that time I notice the Tulasi beads on her neck and on asking about it

she told me that her friend got it for her from Brindaban.

Then I go to work all surprised. After finishing work that day I was on

my way to the train station and I bump into this person who is a

volunteer (sevak) at the ISCKON temple and we knew each other from when

I used to go to that temple frequently some years ago. He reminded me

that on the 24th of August there is huge celebration for the

Janmashtami at the ISCKON temple and that's when I was really surprised

- the reason being that I had totally forgotten about the Janmashtami

on the 24 of August for some reason. I was very happy also because I

have attended all the Janmashtami's since the time I have been in

Sydney and every time Krishna has blessed me with some little playful

leela of his.

The next day when I went to the same shop and got my two pieces of

Pizza's that lady also handed over to me some Krishna prasadam from the

ISCKON temple that she had kept aside for me. I just wanted to share

this happiness! Jai Shri Krishna! Happy Birthday to Lord Krishna!

Jai Shri Krishna,

Saurabh
