83rd Birthday Divine Darshan & Discourse Update 2008

Om Sairam dear Sai Family The afternoon session of Swami's birthday was full of love and surprises.. The Kulwanth hall as expected was full by 2pm and as usual the Ganesha gate was closed and the lines just to go inside the ashram premises was touching the hanuman temple. Many devotees made unsuccessful attempts to go in and gave up and many couldn't make it to the ashram on birthday.. It was a long wait for all of us seated in the Sai Kulwanth Hall. Swami blessed us with His divine darshan at 5:45pm. Every body were looking forward to yet another blissful session. Swami preferred to come in the mobile throne in His orange robe. After reaching on the dais He called upon Prof.Anil Kumar. Prof.Anil Kumar after a short poetic session in telugu praising Swami and His kind heart for coming to this world introduced the two speakers blessed this afternoon. The first one was Sri Sreenivasan, the member of central trust and international president of Sai Organisation and Sri Ajit Poppat, popoularly called as PUPPET among Sai Family.. Sri Sreenivasan said apart from the whole humanity, the stars, planets, asteroids were so lucky that they had more than 1000 darshans of Swami. Swami while telling about the Orissa flood hit victims, asked the authorities to make sure people get all the requirements and what ever Swami does, it should be permanent and long lasting. Swami was talking about the houses the trust was going to built to the needy there.. Sri Sreenivasan was of the opinion that Swami was reaching devotees before they could reach Him and that is the uniqueness of Swami. For every one faith is very important. Just make sure that Swami will keep all things at the right place and have full faith in Swami. To reach Swami, there is NO NEED for intermediaries ..Sri Sreenivasan asked all of us to have direct contact with Swami Later Mr.Puppet stole the show with His hall mark Sanskrit, hindi, English talk and many times Swami smiled, laughed and the audience were ecstasy and he got loud applauds from the devotees. He spoke on intellectual devotion Puppet started with a prayer and thanked the Prema,sathya Paripoorna Avatara for giving this opportunity. When you come as human you have to behave like human and that is what Swami wants. Once Swami asked Mr. Puppet, Puppet, Does your heart beats for you or others? for which Puppet didn't have any answer. It is mere selfishness if we work for our selves. Every moment of our life should be spent for the welfare of our fellow beings.

Instead of saying Soham Soham we are saying Phonam phonam spending our valuable time by talking over phone.. Before leaving for the UK Puppet said to Swami .. Swami I feel your presence 24 hours to which Swami said I am always with you every second don't count in hours.I want you to be successful and there lies My happiness. You don't know how fortunate you are. I give you darshan every day. There are many saints and sages who are doing penance for years and years in the Himalayas for My darshan and I go to see them just now and then. You say, I come to your rescue at the last moment which is not true.. I come to your rescue at the RIGHT MOMENT. Later Puppet urged Swami to bless the UK with a Sarva dharma stupa identical to that which is present in Swami's house compound to spread the message LOVE ALL SERVE ALL to the whole Europe and other countries.. Talking of LOVE ALL SERVE ALL, Puppet remembered what Swami said to him in one interview.. " Puppet you love all for My sake, you serve all in MY name and then there want be the " I " , ego and that will make you a real BHAKTHA (devotee). It was just awesome to listen to Mr. Puppet for close to 30 minutes. While he was speaking celebrity singer, and the singer who sang the Golden Chariot song, Mr. Sankar Mahadevan came on the dais and he was overwhelmed like all of us listening to Mr. Puppet. It was 6:50pm, and every one thought like last year's birthday celebrations, this year also we might not have the Birthday Divine Discourse but we should love His uncertainty.. Swami surprising every one asked for the mike and in no time, Prof. Anil Kumar was ready next to Swami waiting for the nectarine words to roll out which are always sweet to listen and good for our transformation.. This birthday's discourse had lot of LOVE and AFFECTION. Swami made a very significant statement and also showered lot of grace on Muddanahalli school, yet another prestigious project to be taken up by Swami. I had the good fortune to listen to the 1990 discourse where He announced the opening of super speciality hospital surprising every one and I could see the same confidence and desperation to reach the needy in today's discourse and with our Swami anything is Possible and I am sure there no word such as IMPOSSIBLE in His divine dictionary and He definitely doesn't like that word. Swami started with a verse, Sarva Roopa Dharam Shantham, Sarva Naam Dharam Shivam, Sachidananda Roopam advaitam Sathyam Shivam Sundaram Sathya Sai Maheswaram. Embodiments of Love,

India is very sacred land. In this holy land patience is the beauty. This is the land which has given more importance to self respect than life. But due to rapid westernization , there is lot of unwanted things happening. Indians have become like a mighty elephant who listens to an illiterate, weak mahout . Accept good and deny bad. Don't harm anyone. There is nothing great to do good to your friends but you should do good to your enemy. Have good feeling towards them. If our hearts are good everything will be good. When there is bad in you every thing will be bad. Muddanahalli School: Swami announced amidst loud applauds that He is going to add Muddanahalli school under Sri Sathya Sai University and will do everything to develop that school and help the poor students in that area..

" All the students in Muddanahalli are good. The people there have built classrooms and bhajan hall. It is not affiliated to our university rather it is under Bangalore university. I just got the idea to built a college there and improve the Muddanahalli campus. WHAT EVER I WILL IS BOUND TO HAPPEN. " Amidst loud applauds Swami announced that the work will start from tomorrow itself. The whole project will cost 2 to 3 crores. To go for higher studies they have to go to cities. They discontinue studies due to financial problems and work in fields. One has to study first and then work. From now on they will have spiritual education also. What are all the educated people doing today to the society. They indulge in bad practices and visit clubs. Children follow them. If children are good in their childhood they will become ideal when they are big.

All My students are PURE GOLD. Elders are spoiling students. Children now are in a position to correct parents. If the father is drunkard what a shame it is. Many parents smoke cigarettes and beedies infront of children..It is not good at all. 1000 MOTHERS' LOVE: I have no desire, no anger. I am always Happy. I love people who hate Me also. You may have one mother's love only. But Sai love is 1000 mothers' love. If anything goes wrong, I pretend to be angry but I am never angry. There is no chance for me to be angry. My path Is the ROYAL ROAD . There are no diversions on My path. I always want all to be happy. All should be healthy. All should be wealthy. But NEVER MISUSE MONEY. I WILL GIVE YOU MONEY IF YOU WANT, PROVIDED YOU DON'T MISUSE.

Swami continued I never ask any one any thing. Is there any one in this hall whom I have asked money. Money comes and goes, morality comes but grows. If any one has ill feelings against Me let them have it. I will speak to them with love . No one has recognized my love till now. They don't understand the love . One day or other they will recognize who I am. All should be happy. Don't run after property. Only LOVE will bring all all the prosperity. Consider lose, success, failure as God's gift. DISCARD I AND MY:

Carry on your life without I and My. I brings all ego and My creates attachment. You have to stay away from them. Live long life with love and without ego. Quoting a very interesting and bit humorous example Swami continued raising His right hand. Showing His hand, he said, this tall finger considers I am the tallest and there is none who can beat me. The two fingers next to it say, we are your guards and without us you can't be safe. The ring finger says, I am the richest and every one put the ring in my finger and Iam everyone's favourite. The index finger says, I am the one who direct every one. By just seeing me people will start working. Hearing all these conversations, it seems the little finger laughs and says, when some one makes a point I am always in the front and Iam great.. hearing all this the thumb says, I am the one who gives all

the grip and without me you can't exist. " Swami continued, when all these fingers come united miracles happen and that is what the world needs today.. UNITY.. this example of Swami made everyone smile. Swami later said, I always do the IMPOSSIBLE and it happens only because I have self confidence. I have provided drinking water to one crore population in Chennai. I have joined Krishna and Godavari rivers which was unsuccessfully tried by Britishers. They also gave a statement that it is impossible. I HAVE DONE IT. The districts of East and West Godavari (Andhra Pradesh), were devoid of water since they were located on a hilly area. I supplied water to all the hilly areas, with modern pumps and purifying units. My intention is always good. I have watched the difficulties of Muddanahalli. He later called up on the principal of Muddanahalli who was seated far in the audience. He went running to Swami, and was blessed with Padanamaskar. Swami continued to speak a few words in Kannada , telling them not to worry. Pass this good news in the state of Karnataka and may all the

people be benefited by this school. Swami later sang Rama Rama Rama Sita bhajan thus ending a beautiful and blissful birthday. It was a very busy November, the first one of its kind in the life of our beloved Swami.. Lot of activities, society centric activities. Swami has send a very clear message that it is high time for all of us to set aside our monkey mind and turn GODWARD. It is now or never kinda situation. Swami has been teaching us and guiding us all these years and now the time has come for all of us to listen to Him rather hear Him.. Put His teachings into practice and do something for the society and our fellow brothers and sisters..Swami is always there with us and we shouldn't have any doubts what so ever about any work which is started with a noble intention.
