Sri Rama Navami is being celebrated in prasanthi nilayam today. This morning the bhajans went on till 10:30 am and not the usual 9:30 am. Swami sat inside the bhajan halls and called the elderly in Sai Kulwant Hall and presented them with gifts. The were given boxes inside which there were statues of God like Vinayaka, Rama etc. Many elderly who were at the event got suprise gifts on this special day. There are programs this evening at 3:00 pm. We will bring more information after the event.

The Ramayana teaches the principles of Dharma and the path of duty to every individual. Though aeons have passed by, the Ramayana remains relevant even to this day, guiding humanity on the path of truth and righteousness. Even today the characters of Ramayana are respected and revered. There is no morality higher than what is depicted in the Ramayana. The Ramayana should be the subject of our Parayana (worship). You should install the principle of Rama in your heart and experience bliss. The Ramayana sets great ideals to men. People should contemplate on such a sacred story and follow its ideals. Practise the teachings of the Ramayana in your daily life. Obey the command of Lord Rama. It is to understand and assimilate the principle of the Ramayana that we are celebrating the festival of Rama Navami today.

Das Epos Ramayana* lehrt die Grundlagen von Dharma (Gebot Gottes) und den Weg der Aufgabe (Pflicht) für jedes Individuum. Obwohl ganze Zeitalter vergangen sind, bleibt das Ramayana von Bedeutung bis zum heutigen Tag, die Menschheit auf den Weg der Wahrheit und Rechtschaffenheit (des gottgemäßen Handelns) zu führen. Noch heute sind die Charaktere des Ramayana geachtet und verehrt. Es gibt keine höherstehende Moral, als wie sie im Ramayana dargestellt ist. Das Ramayana sollte zum Thema unseres Gebets werden. Du solltest das Prinzip von Rama in Deinem Herzen verankern und Glückseligkeit erfahren. Das Ramayana schafft hohe Ideale im Menschen. Die Menschen sollten über solch eine heilige Geschichte nachsinnen und ihren Idealen folgen. Praktiziere die Lehren des Ramayana in Deinem täglichen Leben. Befolge die Weisung des Lord (Herrn) Rama. Um das Prinzip des Ramayana zu verstehen und in uns aufzunehmen, feiern wir heute das Fest von Rama Navami (Ramas Geburtstag). * *Râma* ist die siebente Inkarnation (Avatar) von Vishnu, dem Erhalter der Schöpfung aus der Dreiheit Brahmâ-Vishnu-Shiva. Râma gilt als die Verkörperung von Dharma, insbesondere in seiner Eigenschaft als gerechter König, dessen Vorbild immer wieder beschworen wird. Walaupun zaman silih berganti, namun Ramayana masih relevan hingga sekarang dalam hal menuntun umat manusia di jalan kebenaran dan kebajikan. Bahkan hingga hari ini, karakter-karakter di dalam Ramayana masih dihormati dan dijunjung tinggi. Tiada nilai moralitas yang leibh tinggi daripada nilai-nilai moral yang ditampilkan di dalam Ramayana. Ia merupakan tema utama dari Parayana (worship/puja) yang kita lakukan. Tanamkanlah prinsip Rama di dalam hatimu untuk mendapatkan blisss (kebahagiaan). Ramayana mengajarkan idealisme luhur bagi manusia. Berkontemplasilah pada ajaran suci ini dan ikutilah idealismenya. Praktekkanlah ajaran-ajaran Ramayana di dalam kehidupanmu sehari-hari. Patuhilah perintah Lord Rama.
