Guest guest
Sairam, Happy BABA's day to you all. May the grace of BABA shower upon one and all. Contentment - a word which we often hear we read, we know that it is that word which has all the happiness in the world encapsulated in it. BABA asked us to be content with what we have. The secret to the happiness is simple, appreciate what we have and live in happiness. Easy said than done. We feel that we lack something in life. BABA asked complete surrender. We are bent upon carrying our burdens on our heads. There are many times when we feel that things are not going we would want them to go. But BABA, our lord and MASTER He knows what is best for us, and shapes and moulds our lives and fulfills our wishes, maybe not as we want to see things happen, but in a much better way. Because we have not got things as we expected them to fall into place we feel that we are deprived of our wishes and wants. Do you remember the incidents in life, when we ask for a "Job" which we think is what we want, we end up getting somethng much better that what we desired. May be not immediately but that job would pave way to higher position in future. Whatever happens is for our good. Maybe we wanted to win lottery, but fail to appreciate the promotion, or raise we got at work. We might have lost our wallet, but fail to recognise that BABA saved us with a small mishap rather than loosing much more.. These are few thngs which I can recall. When we keep our mind stable and appreciate what we have and thank BABA for everything, we find happiness even in face of misery. Most of us tend to live to show others that we are happy. Happiness is within us, surrounding us. Living for ourselves. Living to please BABA. Appreciating even the unhappy moments which make us realise that we are human and we need god. It is these uncertain moments that keep us humble and make us raise our hands in the praise of the Lord. Let us make a habit of thanking BABA at the end of the day, before we go to bed, for giving us disappointments and joys because they make us more human and appreciate life and help us to be more mature and advance in our spiritual life. Here is the message for the week from BABA.. Consecrated Rupee At another time Captain Hate wished that he should have in his house a coin of rupee consecrated by Baba with His touch. He came across a friend who was bound for Shirdi. With him Hate sent his rupee. The friend went to Shirdi and after the usual saluation gave first his Dakshina which Baba pocketed. Then he gave Hate's rupee, which Baba took in His hand and began to stare at it. He held it in front, tossed it up with His right thumb and played with it. Then He said to the friend, "Return this to its owner with the Prasad of Udi, tell him that I want nothing from him, ask him to live in peace and contentment." The friend returned to Gwalior, handed over the consecrated rupee to Hate, and told him all that happened at Shirdi. This time Hate was much pleased and realised that Baba always encouraged good thoughts, and as he wished intently, Baba fulfilled the same accordingly. " Chapter 29 SAtcharita.
