Guest guest
Dear Sai Devotees, In this week's eChat, we will read about a story where divine will prevails though human intention was otherwise.......... --------------------order to build a university for the benefit of the community, an educator approached a rich Muslim ruler and asked for a donation. Upon learning that the university would be named "Hindu University," the ruler was furious and swung his right-shoe at the educator in anger. The educator did not get offended; he simply picked up the footwear and politely took leave from the ruler. Returning back to his guest-house, the educator deeply thought about how he could make the best of the situation... The next morning, he arrived at the center of the ruler's capital and started an auction for the ruler's footwear, and people started bidding very high prices. The news quickly spread to the ruler, and the ruler did not want a common citizen to acquire royal footwear...thus he sent his treasurer with instructions to get the footwear back at any cost. Eventually, the treasurer upped every bid and brought the footwear back to the ruler. The bid amount was enough to build a University. The university was Banares Hindu University; the educator was Madan Mohan Malvya; and the ruler was The Nizam of Hyderabad. A real incident..... ----------------------- Such are the inscrutable ways of Divine Will. God binds us together in the circle of life, no matter what the religions and attitudes are.... OM SAI RAM!
