He had regularly been for Seva in Puttapathy as well as in Samithi level. He was very much loving & caring person. He was about 58 years old. But suddenly the news we heard was that mt friend's father suddenly died of heart attack.why such thing happened? Swamy knows everything.Swamy can do anything But why such an uncertainty? why had Swamy done like this?
Guest guest
dear sairam... i read ur mail. and i think it is a childish doubt. do u think living in this material world for 90 years is blessing of swami? then why people in great distress pray to god for death? why saint sri sankaracharya died at the age of 32? why swami vivekananda upto the age of 38? see, swami said that the world is like a prison. v took birth due to our previous karma. the one who behave well in this prison ll get released earlier. so very good people dont have to live for long period in the material world to face all the tensions and stress and disease. So dear dont ever think living for long period is blessing of swami and living upto 58 years is not too short. one more thing. we always suffer only due to our own karma. swami is only a witness. if u complete ur karma earlier swami ll call u back earlier. so dont compare it with the seva ur friend did. sairam. Guest guest
SAI RAMs, The scriptures hold that Death is the interval betwen two Births for those who do not realize the Truth in this very Birth. One goes from Death to Death until he or she achieves Self-Ralization, hold the Upanishads. " Death is certain for one who is born " , says Lord Krishna in the second Chapter of Gita (Jatasya hi dhruvor mrityuh....). Immortality(Amrutatvam) and Liberation(Mukti or Moksha) can be achieved only by if one can transcend worldly attachments and desires. Only a few wise people (Dheerah) can escape from rebirth or reincarnation, assert the Scriptures. The rest are bound to meet with Death and are bound to be reborn. Grief and sorrow on the death of near and dear ones, though considered normal in worldly parlance, is a pointer to ignorance of Reality. Only 'that' 'has no Death which had no birth. We see death day in day out. All deaths do not affect us as much the death of one`s spouse, children or parents etc. affect us. Both Birth and death are the leelas of God. And if, as the scriptures aver, God is equally present in every being, why death of near ones alone shouls affect us. This is due to sheer ignorance. All of us are comparable to co-passengers in a long train journey. At each rail station some passengers alight and some new passengers board. Life is just a journey. Death is part of life. Let us learn to accept death as it is. Karma does play a part in rebirth when one dies.
