My experiences in pursuit of

gold mine of baba's benevolent blessings.

Having been in the zealous service of Lord Sri Sai Baba' of Shirdi,

for over four decades, I ardently fell, that it is my sacred duty, to recapture

in brief, the personal experiences of my relationship with BABA, for the

benefit of those devotees who are still in doubt and wavering, in their faith

for BABA. It has been one of my ambitions, to inculcate genuine devotion and 'BHAKTHI’

in those capricious devotees, debating as to whether or not BABA IS GOD. There is

absolutely no doubt that BABA is our only GOD - INCARNATION. He is real, and is

our de-facto Gold Mine. He is our supreme God on earth. Cling to His lotus

feel, fast. I know no other God in this world, though BABA had declared. He was

the servant of God. He always used to say that " ALLAH MALIK " .

In my humble opinion, BABA is OMNICIENT, OMNIPOTENT and OMNIPRESENT. Is there any other God however

powerful He might be in this world? Who could compare with BABA - The Super Saint

of Shirdi, Who showers bushel full of benevolent

Blessings a Million, for He is all round well-being of His innumerable devotees,

wherever they might be? None,

dear devotees, none! Have implicit faith in Him and never run after

mirage. Worship HIM; Think of HIM and HE is ever there, to bless you and me and

to protect us as the eye-lid does the eye-ball. Implicit faith in BABA is imperative,

inviolable and sacrosanct. All that BABA asked for from His devotees was

'SABURI' and ‘NISHTA’ and Two Rupees Dakshina.

Act up to His dictum and get enriched thousand fold in return.

BABA is known for His miracles too. BABA was more than a Doctor.

He used to treat the sick and the suffering with His odd and queer medicines,

but it was not those that gave them relief.

His magical touch and words worked like miracles, and brought the

patients back to normal health. In short, BABA was panacea for all evils and

sickness. He was said to have cured even incurable diseases. Anna Saheb Dhabolkar alias Hemadri Panth had enumerated host of such cases, in his Biography

of BABA.

Let me now begin my experience, as to how I came in contact with

BABA and His Cull. I joined the Military Accts. Department, way back in 1940

and retired in Sept. 1971. I was transferred from Meerut to Bangalore in 1942. One

of my colleagues invited me to attend BABA's Bhajan, one Thursday, at the Sri Samaj

and to have BABA's Blessings. I was thrilled to see BABA's photo, they were worshipping. I was introduced to

one Mr. K.G. Srinivasan, Secretary of the Samaj. It

was there that I learnt for the first lime, that if one either he or she

worships HIM with faith, BABA shall fulfill his or her

very " First Wish " whatever that might be.

I was need I say copiously impressed, beyond doubt. I never turned

this way or that. Just like the horse in blinkers. I immediately took the cue,

bought and installed BABA's photo in my house. I offered

prayers to BABA to bless me with success in my departmental examination, which

was my very First wish, nay prayer. Success in that Exam was of paramount

importance for the future prosperity of my career. In right earnest, I started

observing piety and was scrupulously pious. Every Thursday, I was distributing

arms to the beggars and the Fakirs, sitting in rows at the mosque near Russel Market. I did cultivate no mean charitable

disposition, mostly on BABA's days.

Then I started facing music in silence. Things one by one went

wrong, in rapid succession, without any respire. I almost gave up BABA. At a

time when the wounds indicted by BABA were raw and yet to be healed, I was

transferred, against my wish, to Palna in 1949. It is

often said misfortunes never come single. We lived in requisitioned quarters on

the bank of Ganges. It was

here, one fine morning during December 1952, while sitting under shade of a

tree and contemplating with nostalgic memory, it suddenly flashed through my

mind, that all the above misfortunes had befallen me on Thursdays only. I was

stunned and stupefied with this dramatic revelation. I was like a thief inside,

bitten by a scorpion. I had no words to speak. I was convinced, beyond the

shadow of a doubt, that it was all ordained by BABA. It was from that celestial

moment, that I turned a new leaf. I solemnly took an " Oath " right in

front of BABA's photo which I still continue to

worship even to this day in U.S.A. I cried

before BABA and said: " Never would I leave BABA's

lotus feel, for the rest of my life, let come what might. That sacred Oath I am

still keeping and " Keep I will " till the last breath of my life, in

this world.

Baba's ways were indeed mysterious. His miracles in rescuing His

devotees are a legion. Once we recommenced worshipping Him, BABA started

blessing us with boon after boon, there by keeping our cup of happiness

overfull, all these years, even to this day, nay even tomorrow. I was again

transferred back, to Bangalore as penny

wish, permanently.

My two sons are well settled in USA

permanently. My daughter is also very happily married and permanently settled

in India. All my

children have also taken to meticulous worship of BABA, just like fish taking

to water. All that BABA asks for is our implicit faith and patience.

We have so far made six trips to U.S.A. We always

make it a point, to start on Thursdays, which we treat as auspicious in our

travels. So far, nothing went wrong, for reasons obvious. It is BABA's responsibility to save us from all unforeseen trials

and tribulations, for ALL THE FAITH we lodged in Him. We in duty bound,

meditate and concentrate on BABA for hours at times. We have brought with us. BABA's framed photos and Udhi

(sacred ashes and we never fail to do this, whenever we go abroad. I have

performed several " Saptahams " reading

through BABA's Biography. I continue to do this even

in USA, along with

daily recitals of " Ashtothara satha namavali " and " Sahasranamarchana " on Thursdays only. That gives me

magnificent mental peace and spiritual solace. I have successfully cultivated

the habit of thinking of BABA more and more, when I am immaculately happy all

round, but certainly not, when I was in difficulties. This I want the devotees

to practise and richly get benefited. On the contrary,

every one including the Atheists; Pray when in pain

and difficulties, but not when one is copiously happy. As he or she would have

no time for BABA. " If you look to me - I look lo you " so said BABA

always. We go on pilgrimage, to Shirdi every year, when we are in India. Why I am

enumerating all these experiences, devotees may wonder! It is with a purpose.

It is just to encourage my fellow-devotees who are still in doubt, and who

would do well to emulate, regulated worship and to get richly rewarded by BABA.

It was our good fortune that BABA has come to stay with us, in the

magnificent Temple, situated

in the sprawling premises of the Garden city of Bangalore. It may not

be irrelevant lo add in this connection, that the present President of our Samaj, Mr. K.G., (as affectionately called) who was widely

known as the live-wire secretary of the Samaj, over

Four and a half decades has contributed unparalleled and unequivocal services

Lo the Samaj and Temple, his health not withstanding.

I raise my hands and salute those who had served and still serving the Samaj and the Temple, with zeal

and devotion. May their Tribe increase! Our Temple has richly

gained in un-precedence prominence, by attracting Hood of devotees,

irrespective of caste, color or creed. The sanctified gathering of devotees,

from all nooks and corners, on all Thursdays, reminds me of BABA's

Holy Shrine at Shirdi. I being the astute and humblest of all devotees, wish to

affirm that the unflinching faith in BABA, is the absolute concept and bottom

line of the Cult of " SARVASYA SARANAGATHI " at BABA's

feet that ultimately leads us, to eternal salvation. I, once again appeal to

the brother devotees, to judiciously assimilate the essence of my experiences strive

hard, dig deep into the Treasure-trove, wash BABA's

feet with your tears of joy, with a world of faith and devotion, and get

adequately rewarded with worldly riches, along with benediction and Blessings of

BABA a million. Hurry up, my brother devotees! At the same time, beware of

traumatic tests BABA often improvises to discern the faith in each devotee!

Avoid confrontations of any-kind. Reap rich harvest, for the fulfillment of all

your worldly needs, by offering fervent prayers, at BABA's

feet. Let us all continue to pray, at the Altar of BABA every day for unfailing

and immaculate health, success, peace, prosperity, happiness and long life,

free from pain, worries, suffering. May " HE " ever bless us all!

Thankyou so much for the eye opener.To me everything is also happening

on Thursdays. Is this what you want me to have fine then,I accept with all humility.

When anything good or bad happens, I always remember the saying,
