Guest guest
Devotees Experience - Contributed by Sriram Kalaga Dear Folks, My name is SRIRAM KALAGA and I presently live in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. I am writing this after offering my pranams and prayers to Sadguru Sainath of Shirdi. The spirit of Sai is behind all His devotees' intents and actions; so, I believe it is Baba who inspired me to share these humble thoughts of mine with Sai devotees everywhere. Lord Sai Baba came into my life first time in April 2002 when I visited a Sai Temple in Vizag, India. That was a time of severe turmoil in my life here in America – education, career and otherwise. For over 3 years, I had ups and downs – loss of employment twice and loss of family due to divorce. These difficulties deeply tested my faith and trust in Him. The times were hard to endure but I took refuge in Sai's basic tenets – diligence (shraddha) and patience (saburi). I also experienced many of His " leelas " and miracles which proved beyond any doubt that Sai is omnipresent in every aspect of our existence and will always be there to help us in His own unique way. I visited Shirdi in December 2004 and that reinforced my faith in many ways. Sai's darshan gave me joy, peace and reassurance for the future. Shirdi Sai Baba now pervades every ounce of my thought and being. I perform a Sai Abhisekha every day in the morning and spend a few minutes reading from a book of His Leelas. The more I read and meditate on Him, the more I realize that all our experiences in life – joys, sorrows and everything in between – are only a result of our prarabdha and sanchita karma. We have to face them; there is no escape. Only Sai is capable of fully erasing them or help us bear the pain from that suffering. All our mortal choices and actions are based on materialistic thinking and are therefore biased. We cannot succeed unless Sai blesses our efforts and guides us through our journey. We are His children and He will always listen to us when we pray and ask for help. I am single now but I'm also yearning to share this life with a like-minded woman who is a Sai devotee. I am praying Sai to guide me towards my future wife and dharma patni. I look forward to the day when me and her offer joint prayers to Him, here in America for now and later in Shirdi. Thanks for reading this. Jai Sai Ram! May Sai bless you all. With kindest regards, Sriram Kalaga
