Guest guest Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 A group of us happened to be talking to a gentleman [old time devotee of Bhagwan] in Prasanthinilayam and suddenly we were exposed to a beautiful, apparent, yet often missed phenomenon. The gentleman asked us " Do you see any thing spectacular in the layout of Prasanthinilayam? " We youngsters fed with Sai History and philosophy answered like a parrot, " Oh yes Sir! Prasanthinilayam 50 years ago was a stone's throw from stone age. Today it is the fantasy of every modern city ! " The gentleman was not impressed. He gave us many other chances and after a number of hit and trials he answered: " Look boys, as you enter Prasanthinilayam from the railway-station side or Bangalore side, what is the first edifice that you see which is built by Bhagwan? " " Super Speciality Hospital " , we said in unision. " What next? " " Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning " , we echoed..we were a bit perplexed for what is so great about it? " And then you reach the Mandir complex, right? " , asked the gentleman. " Yeah " , we answered in a tone without hiding our impatience ! After all what is he driving at? " Look boys, the road to Prasanthinilayam is road to Bhagwan, to God! On this road, first you have to cure your body, clean it, make it healthy. Only a sound body enshrines a sound mind. So Bhagwan has built the Hospital and placed it in the beginning of the road ! Next comes the Institute of Higher Learning which symbolises purification of mind ! After these two one reaches God, who purifies and softens your heart. Mandir verily signifies that for it is Devalayam, or the abode of Divinity. So God realization is a three step process guys !
