He is in you, outside you, above you, below you, behind you, in front of you etc. etc. In fact every object and being you see here is the Lord only. You need not go anywhere to see the Lord. You are yourself God. You are not able to see him because of ignorance of your true nature. True Love for God implies loving and serving all beings and seeing the Atma present in you as the Atma in everybody. As for approaching the Lord is concerned, you might have heard about Navavidha Bhakti. You can approach Him as The His servant, friend etc. etc. In whichever way you approach God, He will accept you provided your devotion or Bhakti is Pure, Total and free from ego and other negative tendencies. One should have absolute faith and trust in Lord while surrendering to him. You should never entertain any doubts in your mind whether God will help you or not. If your Love of God is perfect, untainted etc., You can earn the love and grace of God. Talking to God and God`s talking to you is a matter of personal experience. You might heard about " inner voice " . That is the one in which God talks to you. The Lord`s look is always smiling. He does not give a angry or hateful look. To earn the Lord surrender yourself totally. Anil kumar saying I am sharing the thoughts with U.I am a big zero myself....I think to your questions my reply is that U do not need to approach god ....He is within u above u.. How do you approach God and love Him? As our respected Balasubramaniam garu said, there are several ways of doing this, and you have to see what suits you best. And it usually happens automatically, without your having to choose one or the other. At least that has been my experience. I found it most helpful for myself to see Him as my Divine Mother, ever so loving, forgiving, guiding, protecting. How do we earn the love and Grace of God? What I learnt at the Lotus Feet is to simply do what He says - that is the best way to earn His Grace. In the language we normally understand, it is simply to "impress" Him with our sincerity and love. His Grace is ALWAYS there with us - what we mean is that we want more of it. And only He knows how much we need at anytime. So instead of thinking of how to earn His Grace, the best thing is to follow what He says. Talking to the Lord: This is something you have to develop over a period of time. The closer you feel to Him, the more you will talk to Him. And the more you become "sensitive"to Him, the more you will "hear" Him. The morning prayer time is a good starting point to "talk" to Him.How to earn the loving and smiling look of the Lord? If we yearn for Him and pine for Him, He will respond in a manner that is best for our spiritual progress. If that response is a look and smile, then He will give it to us. I would also suggest you do not judge Swami's love for you based on how He responds when you physically go to Parthy. I have seen this with many people who feel very close to Him but He does not respond at the physical level. How to earn the Lord Himself? That is the ultimate, right? Swami once asked a primary school boy, "What do you want?" And the boy replied, "I want you, Swami!" Swami was smiling and said, "I am here, take me!" The little boy obviously did not know what to do then! We are all like that - He is ready and waiting for us; as soon as we are ready, we can earn Him.
