Guest guest
It is not correct to say that one can not get accommodation within Prashantinilayam. Acccommodation is provided on first come first basis subject to availability. You are sure of getting accommodation if you have any handicapped member in your party. Normally, families with3,4 members are allotted a room. Individuals will be accommodated in sheds. You may approach the accommodation office and filll in necessary application. Suitable accommodation will be provided. If you know any important person working permanently at the Ashram and other Institutions of Baba, they can put in a word to the accommodation office. Thereby you might get a decent accommodation. This is the only way of staying within the Ashram. No hotwater is available in the rooms of the Ashram. Puttaparthy abounds in lodges where room rent is around Rs.150 per room per day Two to three persons can stay in a single room in the lodges.. Hotels are relatively expensive. If you are a V. V .I .P, you will get Air-conditioned accommodation within Ashram. Guest guest
Sai Ram friend Please be aware that the World Youth Conference is coming up quickly at the end of this month and accommodations will not be readily available unless you are delegates. 10,000 youth from all over the world are coming for this event. You might want to consider lodging outside the ashram. It will be very crowded. The accommodations office has asked all parents to stay outside of the ashram already. Guest guest
Sairam to all, I think there is nothing like VIP / V VIP. What ever one gets is as a result of his actions in the past (same life / previous births ). Guest guest
sairam, Bhagawan is the divine mother. Baba has already informed us not to worry about `not coming close to some devotees during darshan and not to feel for not getting front row while darshan'. For Baba's eyes we are all children. Baba giving special care only for the children who are sick, who needs special care for their welfare. It does not mean swamy is neglecting other children. This is a message by Swamy. We all need Bhagwan and his blessings wherever we sit and whichever room is allotted. In earlier days, Bhagwan himself sat under the tree. For Swamy everything is same. It is only our mind which thinks abt all these things. When a boy wants to write his examination, he holds his hall ticket in hand, his mind shd be only to reach the examination hall in time. He shd not think and discuss abt something irrelevant in the middle which wl not give him success. In the same way, we all should seek Swamy Blessings and surrender our worries to Baba's feet wherever we sit. It is my humble opinion. If i am wrong, kindly excuse me and do not take it otherwise. jai sairam krishnamurtiy p n - G mail Thursday, July 05, 2007 10:59 PM Re: [sBOI-post] About availability of Hotels at prasanthinilayam Sai Ram Does it means there are some people who are VIP in the eyes of Swami ??? Guest guest
Sairam, In the eyes of swamy all are equal. It is only the humans that occupy positions of decision there who create the difficulties. Swamy is once reported to have said that there are scorpions and snakes in parthi, who are purposely kept there, so that they do not spoil the society if they had otherwise been outside ashram. I may also share some thing. I know that parents of students at Parthi / Whitefield / Anantapur are given priority for accommodation, as per guidelines. But there are many cases where parents, even when accompanied by their daughters were denied accommodation and stayed under the trees even in the very recent past. However, they had been fortunate in getting a very beautiful darshan which totally wipes out any memories of hardship. Further, once I myself personally managed to get a VIP seat (once in my lifetime) and got into the first row but as things happened, Swamy never even came within 100 meters of the proud place of honour sought by me. The next day I went by the normal queue and Swamy was smiling at me from as near as 5 feet. That removed all glitter of VBIP / VVIP from my mind. Now and for ever, I will be content if I manage to get standing place, outside Swamy's courtyard, rubbing shoulders with the very average villager, from where I can get the full blessing of Swamy. Even a dream of such happening would do. When u go near the Sun it burns you; if you are too far, you do not get the warmth; so a safe distance from where you are never burnt but enjoy the glory of the Divine Radiance of Swamy. Guest guest
Sairam, I am really amused to see correspondences here arguing whether accommodation at prashanti ashram come under the domain of human or Divine. I now feel that I am chosen as an instrument by Swamy to make you all know who decides who is a VIP. I narrate a personal incident here.During middle of October 2006, my son who was working as Doctor in Seychelles Islands near Mauritius returned to Chennai and he wanted to have Swamy's darshan before taking up next assignment. So I and my son went to Prashanthi and arrived there at early morning. After availing morning dharshan we came out of Kulwant hall and proceeded towards Ganesh Gate talking about getting accommodation in a nearby hotel. At that moment my son suggested to me why we should not try accommodation in ashram itself. I said getting placed in ashram would be very difficult. We would get only shed since Sevadals from Tamilnadu were already there on service duty in October month. Further getting room in ashram was out of question, since we cannot dream of it as Swamy's birthday was fast approaching.and devotees who had gifted rooms would be given first preference. Hence I suggested to my son that instead of walking back all along from Ganesh gate to Accommodation Office,it would be better if we find room outside. But my son was very firm. He told me not to be pessimistic. He told me,"Let us go and try.You are not the authority here. The man wearing the orange robe who gave darshan to us this morning is the ruler of this place. So have faith in Him and let us pray for suitable accommodation". I really appreciated his strong conviction and walked along with him back to AO.. I should admit here that I had very very less or no hope at all. At the AO my son filled up the slip and gave it at the counter.I was standing aside the counter. Pat came the reply that accommodation can be given only in the shed. Since I am an arthritis and a back pain patient, my son pleaded that we should be given a room .They in turn told that they would place us in a nearby shed. Not yielding, my son told that since he is a doctor ,he pleads for a decent accommodation. To this, they asked for his identity card or passport. When my son put his hand in his pocket, he realized that he had kept everything in our travel bag which we had deposited in the cloak room in the bus stand before darshan .As I was standing a little bit away from counter, my son called me near and told that he would go to bus stand and return. Just then a voice from across the counter called me " Hello sir! how are you". To my utter surprise, I found one of my colleague who worked as Personnel Officer in our concern at Madras, inside. After exchanging pleasantries, I introduced my son to him. He had already seen my son when he was a child. He was very happy to see him as a Doctor now.He told me that since I am a known person, he straightaway allotted accommodation, with a condition that it is for a day only. And God! Do you know where? In No ordinary room, but in the round house! And that too very near North indian canteen,by the backside of coffee shop, and at a short distance from darshan hall, etc.My happiness knew no boundaries. My son asked me whether I had dreamt of such an accommodation in the morning at the ganesh gate. Now do you realize who had given you this VIP accommodation, he said. I replied," THE MAN WEARING THE ORANGE ROBE WHO GAVE DARSHAN TO US IN THE MORNING , THE RULER OF THIS PLACE AND THE MASTER OF THIS UNIVERSE."Sairam ,With love,S.Ramakoti.G mail <sinhamahesh Sent: Thursday, 5 July, 2007 10:59:03 PMRe: [sBOI-post] About availability of Hotels at prasanthinilayam Sai Ram Does it means there are some people who are VIP in the eyes of Swami ??? Guest guest
Sairam There s nothing spiritual about it. Do not try to intrepret everything in spiritual aspect and go crazy. Chief Ministers, Prime Minister, President, Defence personals, Other country heads, there are many kinds of people come to Parthi and there are some protocol to be followed. The Sri Sathya Sai Trust is no exception. These people have to be accommodated with certainity in the Nilayam and these people have to taken to SWAMY by the Trust for various projects it is involved. These people are really VVIP in the sense that their role in SWAMY's mission is not like ours. Their work will benefit multitude of people and hence they are called VVIP or VIP other wise the ATMAN is same in every life and that way you are a VIP VVIP as you are also resident in them in that body. So lets not waste time in such trivialities. Sairam On 7/8/07, sairajsai <sairajsai wrote: Sai Ram: Swami is the Director.
