I had read somewhere that Baba said to some of his devotees, " Be quiet and Be by my side. " ......Below are some other quotes about good company and friendships.. - Paramahansa Yoganandaji said this pointing out the folly of bad company... " Peeling garlic or squeezing a rotten egg leaves an unwanted smell on the hands, which requires a lot of washing to remove. " - Paramahansa Yoganandaji said this against too much visiting... " Don't mix with people too closely. The desire for companionship is in reality the soul's desire for companionship with God. But the more you seek to satisfy that desire outwardly, the more you will lose of the Divine companionship. Friendships that are not rooted in the love of God only make one restless and dissatisfied.
