Guest guest
SAI RAM, In this regard it is said that one has to wait untill a sadguru walks into one`s life. And that requires the Grace of God. It is True that all Gurus are not Sadgurus. Just as there are qualifications or spiritual qualities expected of a Sadhaka, there are certain essential qualifications like Strotriya and Brahmanishta etc. which a Sadguru must possess. " Strotria " is one who is well-versed in the scriptures, one who understands and follows the scriptures not only in letter but in spirit. A " Brahmanishta " is one who has not only realized the Self but who always remains in the Bliss of Brahman. For such a person nothing else matters other than idenfying himself with Brahman. All Sadgurus are loving and compassionate towards their sishyas. Without a true Sadguru to guide us in spiritual path, efforts in Self-realization is like a cry in wilderness. However, once he finds his Sadguru, then he should follow him with single mindedness. But, all Gurus are not ecessarily `Sadgurus'. Sadgurus are those who are able to join the `Atma' to `Parmatma', and who has the capability to protect the devotee under all circumstances. There are very few Sadgurus on the earth. Once the Sadguru is met there remains no need to search for a Guru. One who aspires for a Sadguru must strive hard. Someday he will be able to draw the attention of the Sadguru towards himself. Thereafter, through some medium he will reach him or draw the disciple by his own inscrutable ways.
Guest guest
Sairam, I have read that we need not go in search of a sadguru. When the time is ripe and right then the sadguru appears to us in our lives to deliver us....i read this and thought how true it is!!for how many of us went in search of swami??Swami entered our lives like the little mischief thief krishna and stole our hearts and lives even before we could realise it??Did we go in search of swami or did swami come in search of us??"G.
