Message for the week.

Merry Christmas to you all. May the merciful lord bless us all. BABA our lord, master and guide has been with us through 2008. Life is a mixture of good and bad. Every year brings us new message and meaning to our life. 2008 I am sure would have brought you all messages, fulfilled your wishes might have been filled with disappointments. Whatever it be, we have waded through 2008 (almost) and are entering into the new year. This message would be the last message for this year. Let us raise our hands in gratitude and thank BABA our almighty for the experiences He has given us which has pulled us closer to HIM.

Having cleared 2008, I am sure most of you like me are awaiting and wondering how and what the new year would bring us. Remember, BABA is with us we have taken shelter under HIS merciful grace and He is sure to be with us and help us tide over whatever lies ahead in our lives. He is just a call away. CAll out to HIM with love, with longing with devotion and Grace, HE is with us in no time. He never leaves our side or abandons us. Yes we sure feel His absence when we go through tough times but lest we know that it is HE who is bearing the pain and lessened it for us so we can carry on with life and feel a prick instead of a stab. Here is the message for the week. It is HIS promise to us, let us hold on to HIS words..

Balasaheb Mirikar Balasaheb Mirikar, son of Sirdar Kakasaheb Mirikar was Mamlatdar of Kopergaon. He was going on tour to Chitali. On the way he came to Shirdi to see Sai Baba. When he went to the Masjid and prostrated himself before Baba, usual conversation regarding health and other matters commenced, when Baba sounded a note of warning as follows:-"Do you know our Dwarakamayi?" As Balasaheb did not understand he kept quiet, Baba continued - "This is our Dwarakamayi, where you

are sitting. She wards off all dangers and anxieties of the children, who sit on

her lap. This Masjidmayi (its presiding Deity) is very merciful, she is the

mother of the simple devotees, whom she will save in calamities. Once a person

sits on her lap, all his troubles are over. He, who rests in her shade, gets

Bliss". Then Baba gave him Udi, and placed His protecting hand on his head. When Balasaheb was about to depart, He again said- "Do you know the "Lamba Bava" (long gentleman), Viz. serpent?" And then closing the left arm like fist He brought it near the right elbow, and moving His left arm like the hood of a serpent, He said- "He is so terrible, but what can he do to the children of

Dwarakamayi: When the Dwarakamayi (its presiding deity) protects, what can the

serpent do?" Chapter 22 SSS
