Dear Sai Bandhu,

I find the below observation very interesting, though inside each of us knows why Baba's hand did not get burnt when he used to stirr the pot but we are unable to instill that faith in kids to believe our explaination.

To put it in simple words, Baba was represntative of God or more precisely God himself.God does not have suffereings like humans because he is not not bound by the past karmas.

While reading the above explaination one may ask if this is the case then why did Baba's hand got burnt when he put his hand in Dhuni to save the kid of blacksmith.

Answer is because God never breaks the rules, the rules set by Brahma to run this Srushti.

As per rule everybody has to bear the fruit of his karma(past karma in case of small kid).

So to save child baba took his karma on him and sufferings too & avoided to break the rules.Other explaination is that he saves his bhaktas at any cost, whether they are far or near.

I have just tried to dig inside me and this was the explaination came instantly.

Sai Ram.

Dear Devotees

Sandhyaji has forwarded me a mail to send it across to various Sai Baba devotees, she was facing lots of problems in answering the queries of her nephew regarding Sai Baba, and at times even after lot of thinking she could not find answers and Baba has provided her the answer out of the blue, and she has formed a group created for youngsters to understand Sai philosophy from the modern prospective. It is for elders to guide the youngsters in every aspect of life based on their experiences with Baba.

Following article is her first posting on the group and she has invited youngsters and teenagers to join this group to share their views on Baba and she is also eager that elders also join this group, please read her first posting, members interested in joining the group can send a mail to:-

My nephew is very inquisitive, when ever he meets me, he starts askingabout Babas Leelas and during one such meeting, he asked me few simplequestions and the questions were 1) "why Baba's hand did not get burntwhen He put His hand in the burning boiling pot while cooking andstirring the food". 2) Where does Baba live 3) Why does Baba eat meat when He is a God 4) Any miracle of Baba can be a co-incidence. Until that moment it did not strike me nor did I pause to think aboutit. When I wanted to answer it I realized I have no answer for his questions. I am a member of Sai Groups and discussion forums, and I tried to search for a answer to this

questions so that I could explain to my nephew, and then a thought came over to me that many mothers, aunts, sisters, fathers, uncles, grand fathers and grand mothers must be facing the same difficulty which I am facing. So a thought arose in me, why not a exclusive group for the kids so that the kids can interact, pose their questions, so with this intention I am starting agroup for the kids, and the main objective of this group will 1) it will be a meeting point for the kids to discuss and pose their questions regarding Baba and Spirituality 2) where the elders can answer the kids queries and share their experiences, 3) a place for the elders to find answers to their kids queries.

Coming back to myself, all my childhood I never contemplated a need or presence of God in my life, somehow life went on. It was intense pain which broke my endurance and sustenance came to me in the form of Baba. I found Baba beside me when it was void in life for me. and I went in search of Baba lots of doubts came in my mind in my quest which is still going on. My nephews question raised inquisitiveness and the urge to find the answers to such a simple but complex question. It is said that Baba gives answers to His devotees when we take refuge and surrender ourselves completely. I left the task of answering the above question to Baba Himself. Coming back to the question of Baba's hand not being burnt, a brief of Baba's Handi as described in Chapter XXXVIII "During the time when Baba used to feed his devotees it was an event to watch. Baba not only took care in selecting the ingredients for the dish he used to prepare but also used to grind and pound the spices. The best part in this ritual of Baba cooking and feeding His devotees was Baba using His bare hands to mix the food while cooking it. There used to be no burn mark or blisters on Babas hands". I kept on thinking on this, but was not able to find a right answer, but as the saying goes, every question has got a solution, and theperson (Baba) who generated this doubt is also the same person who will give the answer, and I will be happy if any kid or parent in the form of Baba comes out with an explanation to this question.
