Guest guest
From Tirukural--Chapter 29 -- Avoidance of FraudKURAL 281He who wishes not to be scorned by othersguards his own mind against the slightest thought of fraud. KURAL 282The mere thought of sin is sin. Therefore, avoid even the thought of stealing from another.KURAL 283A fortune amassed by fraud may appear to prosperbut will all too soon perish altogether. KURAL 284Taking delight in defrauding others yields the fruitof undying suffering when those delights ripen.KURAL 285Benevolent thoughts and kindly feelings flee from thosewho watch for another's unwatchfulness to swindle his property. KURAL 286Those who walk deceit's desirous pathcannot hope to work wisdom's measured way.KURAL 287The dark deceits of fraud cannot be foundin those who desire the greatness called virtue. KURAL 288As righteousness resides in the hearts of the virtuous,so does deceit dwell in the hearts of thieves.KURAL 289Men who know nothing but deception die a littleeach time they contrive their crooked deeds. KURAL 290Even the life in his body will abandon him who cheats others, while Heaven itself never forsakes those who are honest. ~~~~~~~~~-- -----_/|\_ (Namaste) " Let Noble thoughts come to us from every side " . - RigVeda (1-89-i)
