Sairam,

Happy BABA's day to you all. May the grace of the Master shine upon everyone of us. And BABA protect us and all our loved ones.

Will all those who pray to Baba earn HIS grace? Will everybody who utters Baba's name attain moksha? Will BABA appear before a man who thinks of HIM and utters HIS name always? Is mere reading of Satcharita and repeating BABA's name suffice to earn HIS blessings? These are some questions which haunt us, as devotees of BABA. No doubt those who take out HIS name and do naam jaap of BABA earn His blessings to certain extent, but does not qualify one to earn COMPLETE blessings of BABA, which would sustain them to attain Moksha. BABA's name helps in going in the right path and HE helps us and guides us but the journy towards salvation has to be treaded by the seeker all by HIMSELF overcoming the affects HIS Karma. Uttering the name of god will reduce the effects of Karma to a certain extent. In order for one to attain, Moksha through HIS love and grace, one has to engage in 'SATKARMA' right action or right conduct. One needs to have control over ones vices, such as anger, greed, lust, jealousy, desire and ego. Vain is the devotion of one who does not curb his vices. A true devotee of BABA is one who lives the teachings of BABA as taught in satcharita. For that one has to constantly strive to control the vices which raise their hood every so often. Interacting with other beings in this world and engaging in day to day activities one tends to be lured by the seductiveness of Maya, which ensnares the devotee into the vices. A devotee who is constantly conscious of the effect of Maya and at every step strives to overcome the weaknesses and ascertains the actions to the work of BABA, thinks of HIM constantly, and acts as per BABA's direction, namely showing, empathy, kindness, forgiving, egolessness, being patience, lack of greediness, sharing, loving and helping others selflessly without any expectations is the true devotee and to such devotee BABA promises that HE will give him the biggest gift which any devotee would seek ie Moksha. And BABA is the best judge to see who would qualify to receive this rich gift. Below is HIS promise to this effect to the rich merchant who is entraped in worldly needs, desires, and greed....

".... Then Baba said to him, "Roll up your bundle of Brahma viz. Currency

notes. Unless you get rid completely of your avarice or greed, your will not get

the real Brahma. How can be, whose mind is engrossed in wealth, progeny and

prosperity, expect to know the Brahma, without removing away his attachment for

the same? The illusion of attachment or the love for money is a deep eddy

(whirlpool) of pain full of crocodiles in the form of conceit and jealousy. He,

who is desireless, can alone cross this whirlpool. Greed and Brahma are as poles

asunder, they are eternally opposed to each other. Where there is greed, there

is no room for thought or meditation of the Brahma. Then how can a greedy man

get dispassion and salvation? For a greedy man there is no peace, neither

contentment, nor certainty (steadiness). If there be even a little trace of

greed in mind, all the Sadhanas (spiritual endeavors) are of no avail. Even the

knowledge of a well-read man, who is not free from the desire of the fruit or

reward of his actions, and who has got no disgust for the same, is useless and

can't help him in getting self-realization. The teachings of a Guru are of no

use to a man, who is full of egoism, and who always thinks about the

sense-objects. Purification of mind is absolutely necessary; without it, all our

spiritual endeavors are nothing, but useless show and pomp. It is, therefore,

better for one to take only what he can digest and assimilate. My treasury is

full, and I can give anyone, what he wants, but I have to see whether he is

qualified to receive what I give. If you listen to Me carefully, you will be

certainly benefited. Sitting in this Masjid, I never speak any untruth."

When a guest is invited to a house, all the members of the household and other

friends and relations that happen to be present, are entertained, along with the

guest. So all those that were present in the Masjid at this time, could partake

of the spiritual feast, that was served by Baba for the rich gentleman. After

getting Baba's blessings, one and all, including the gentleman left the place

quite happy and contented. "Chapter 16/17 Satcharita

BABA bless us and guide us always.
