Not just in terms of being free from slavery to other nations, but also free from bad vices, demeaning culture, thoughts, age old man made customs. Can you call yourself really free? Tomorrow is India's Independence day, a day we as Sai family should think, how far ahead we have progressed in our spiritual pursuit. Spiritualism does not mean knowing ones religion or religious practices. But instead holding the values of kindness, empathy, compassion, generosity, tolerance, forgiveness closer to our heart. Do we share others sorrows or are we perpetrators of sorrow? The answers you get reveal our close proximity towards god, not how many hours we spend in front of Him how many vedas and hymns we can recite without looking at a book. Think.. How independent are you...what else do we need to fill that gap to be closer to god. Are we representing Him by upholding the values He taught us through Satcharita. Do we follow Him and HIS teachings? Are we worthy enough to call ourselves His devotees? Tomorrow is a day to refelct on these questions. Spend an hour in reflecting about yourself. BABA bless us always. Give us wisdom to use the freedom and independence in a positive way. Help us to be better citizens and humans. For we all make what India would be in future. We may be in India or away from India the way we conduct, talk and behave reflects upon India, the land we love most.
