Happy Baba's day to you all. May Baba bless us all and give us wisdom to choose right from wrong and guide us in the right path taking His sweet name always.

For last few weeks I have been reflecting over the incidents in life and wondering over the behaviour of people who call themselves true devotees of God, or virtuous or very kind but their actions were on the contrary to teachings of human values. I kept questioning BABA:

1. How can people sleep at night when they have abused, tortured robbed their family of peace, money and wealth. What happened to love, what happened to the sleepless nights parents spend beside the bedside of the child who now considers them a pain.

2. How can people be manipulative to meet their ends, ie, be nice to you just so as to get their work done, like look after their son or daughter and once the work is finished forget about them. It is like using them like a tissue and throwing them off. Is not this contrary to Baba's teaching of showing gratitude.

3. People involved in temples and worship of Baba play political games and manipulate others to their benefit all for fame and name. Is this spirituality.

4. People cheat others and give donations to God as a share in the spoils of booty. They take name of god, but engage in ungodly acts against other humans. How can god accept such tokens?

5. They say love is unconditionally. But unfortunately in present world everything is conditional, friends, relatives and devotion towards god. It is life of you scatch my back and I scratch yours case. It is pathetic to see that values such as compassion, unconditional love (godliness) empathy does not exist any more. How can god let world deteriorate?

6. There are people (like me) who are judgmental, and think that world is imperfect and devious and fail to see personal flaws. How should such people be reassured that God knows everything and takes care of everybody and they should concentrate on their welfare?

Well we all fall into one or the other category of the characteristics described above. After all we are humans. Here is the response from Baba for my questions.. Beware none of us or our actions will be spared, a time comes when we all have to pay for our actions. Just because we have good times now does not mean God has forgoten our past deeds. No man born on this earth is ever escapes the destiny created by their actions. Next time we say 'ouch' 'I am in pain' let us reflect on our deeds past and then we might find the answer for our suffering. Praying to god will give us strength to bear the test but he will never let us escape the punishment, because we chose to inflict it upon ourselves with our behaviour. Beware of the actions...

Baba's Advice Regarding our Behaviour

The following words of Baba are general and invaluable. If they are kept in mind

and acted upon, they will always do you good. Unless there is some relationship

or connection, nobody goes anywhere. If any men or creatures come to you, do not

discourteously drive them away, but receive them well and treat " them, with due

respect. Shri Hari (God) will be certainly pleased, if you give water to the

thirsty, bread to the hungry, clothes to the naked, and your verandah to

strangers for sitting and resting. If anybody wants any money from you, and you

are not inclined to give, do not give, but do not bark at him, like a dog. Let

anybody speak hundreds of things against you, do not resent by giving any bitter

reply. If you always tolerate such things, you will certainly be happy. Let the

world go topsy-turvy, you remain where you are. Standing or staying in your own

place, look on calmly at the show of all things passing before you. Demolish the

wall of difference that separates you from Me; and then the road for our meeting

will be clear and open. The sense of differentiation, as I and thou, is the

barrier that keeps away the disciple from his Master, and unless that is

destroyed the state of union or atonement is not possible, "Allah Malik" i.e.

God is the sole Proprietor, nobody else is our Protector. His method of work is

extra-ordinary, invaluable, and inscrutable. His will will be done and He will

show us the way, and satisfy our heart's desires. It is on account of Rinaubandh

(former relationship) that we have come together, let us love and serve each

other and be happy. He, who attain the supreme goal of life, is immortal and

happy; all others merely exist, i.e., live so long as they breathe".

 

Baba give us wisdom to act as per your bidding. Forgive us our sins and lead us not unto temptation.
