The God who is the origin and the goal can be cognized only by pure consciousness, after purity of mind is attained. Some weak-minded persons feel ashamed of themselves when they worship a picture. But, we are treating the picture as God, and not treating God as a picture. Worship the stone as God; not treat God as a stone! - Swami
