Sai Inspires - 19th July 2007 Intense feelings remain secure under all circumstances. When the devotion is not intense, it becomes fickle. Here is an example. There are huge trees on the roadside. These trees remain green in spite of famine and draught. On the other side, there is the paddy crop nearby. You have to water it every day. Even if you do not water it one day, it dries up. Foolish ones may think, "Paddy crop dries up if it does not get water for a day. How is it the trees remain green even in a long period of draught?" What is the reason for this? The roots of the tree have gone deep down to the water level, whereas the roots of the paddy crop remain on the surface...All the difficulties begin when one's faith is wavered. - Divine Discourse, July 14th, 1992.
