Guest guest
REVEALING TRUTHS OF ABSOLUTE Every act in our Sadhana becomes light and pleasant when we search for reality otherwise it will hang heavy as a burden. We glorify the God always using 108 times! But we never think think why it is always 108 but not 110 or 112 or 50 or 120, isn't it? All such mystic numbers have a deep meaning. Man breathes at the rate of 900 per hour, 21,600 times per day, 10,800 during daytime. With every breath, man is supposed to repeat Soham, "I am He," and so, the figure 216 and its half 108 has a deep significance. Also, 108 is the product when 12 is multiplied 9 times. Number '12' is the number of Aadhithyas (Luminaries), that reveal the objective world i.e., symbols of the Sakaara aspect(the world of name and form). Number '12' also represents the number of the Sun God where Sun represents our intellect(Budhi). Number '9' is the number indicative Of Brahman, since it is always 9, however many times you may multiply it (9 x 12 -108, 1 + 8 - 9, 9 x 9 = 81, 8 + 1 = 9). So, 12*9 represents diverting budhi on the Brahman which is the Nameless, Formless and Eternal Absolute. Now, Let us see how '9' represents Brahman - 9*2 = 18 = 8+1 = 9 - Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by duality i.e., Raga-Dvesha, Mana-Avamana, Kashta-Sukha9*3 = 27 = 2+7 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Three gunasSathwik (mode of goodness), Rajasik (mode of passion), Thamasik (mode of ignorance)9*4 = 36 = 3+6 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Antah-Karana (Internal Instrument)i.e., Manas(Mind), Budhi(Intellect), Chitta(Consciousness), Ahamkara(Ego)9*5 = 45 = 4+5 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Pancha bhuthasi.e., Akasa(Ether), Vayu(Air), Agni(Fire), Jala(Water), Prithvi(Earth)9*6 = 54 = 5+4 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Arishadvargai.e., Kama(desire), Krodha(Anger), Lobha(Greed), Moha(delusion), Mada(Pride), Matsarya9*7 = 63 = 6+3 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is spread and exists all over the universei.e., Saptha-Lokas(Seven Lokas), Saptha-Khandas(Seven Continents), Saptha-Samudras(Seven Seas)9*8 = 72 = 7+2 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Eight-fold maya9*9 = 81 = 8+1 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Navagrahas i.e., Nine Planets9*10= 90 = 9+0 = 9- Indicates that Brahman is unaffected by Dasa Indriyas i.e., Five Karmendriyas(Senses of Action); Five Jnanendriyas(Senses of Perception);Let us contemplate on this Truth while we glorify the God '108' times.
