Dear SAI devotees

This is what happened on sat 15th March. It was the middle of the night, around 2am, when I got up to feel my son's forehead out of sheer habit. He was burning.Despite giving him fever medication, by 6am he was having small convulsions. On his pediatrician's advice, I gave him a double dose of medicine. By 10.30am he looked much better and ther doc put the fever down to a stomach infection. In the afternoon, my son started complaining of chest pain. On docs advise, we got a chest xray and blood tests done. The results showed pneumonia. A big patch on a little 4 yr old. Both his father & I were terrified. We have already lost one son, just 2 months old to crib death in 2001. The doctor advised that we start medication from home, but my boy (Dhruva) was unable to keep it in and repeatedly vomited. I was convinced that hospitalisation was imperitive. Somehow, Baba made me feel this way, despite the docs advice. When we reached the hospital, the doctor on duty , Faizal, was unable to feel his pulse and his heartbeat was up to 168. My boy was wheeled into ICU. At this point I had lost all ability to think straight, by Sai Nath's most merciful and loving grace I had carried the Sai Amritwani with me. I just sat by my son's bedside wtih Intra venous and oxygen mask on him and started to recite this blessed prayer. By the time I reached the last bhajan, my son's heart beat had come down to 106 and stabilised within half an hour. My Sai was with me through out this unbearable crisis and has given my child back his life. He is now merrily jumping about making it all seem like joke. Sai Baba, I thank you with everything I had, have and will have in all my lifetimes for this deepest compassion and divine grace.

My deepest love and respects to Veena Ma and Ashokji for the blessing of the Amritvani prayer. Ma, I roll in gratitude at your divine feet.

A thousand pranams

Nilambari
