If you cast your burden on me, I shall carry it

The earth carries us all. It in turn is going around the sun. Even

the sun is not still and unchanging. All the planets are moving-The

entire universe is dependent on some cosmic energy and that central

energy is running the cosmos.

 

You are but a part in the universe. You are not carrying any other

part in the universe. Nothing is a burden to you. Burden is in your

thought process. Change your thought process. All will be well then.

Not only now, always and under all circumstances, the burden of the

universe is carried by Visweswara. You will very soon realize that

God is no other than Sainath of Shirdi.

 

Bayajabai served Baba with sincere devotion and love. Her son Tatya

Patil was accepted by Baba as his nephew. He accepted the

responsibility of the boy completely. He made him very rich. Finally

he saved him from the jaws of death. He sacrificed his all and saved

that boy and thereby proved to the world that he would successfully

take upon himself the burden of his devotees.

 

In 1918, sometime in the month of September, Tatya fell sick. He was

in the bed. Therefore he could not go to see Baba. Baba too was

running temperature. Tatya had full faith in Baba and Baba had full

confidence in Sree Hari. Only God was their protector. Tatya's

sickness was on the rise. He was unable to move. He was thinking and

speaking of Baba alone. Baba's sickness was also increasing.

Vijayadasami was fast approaching. The pulse of Tatya was becoming

weak and feeble. Everybody thought that he would die soon. Just then

a great miracle happened.

 

Tatya did not die. He escaped death but instead of Tatya, Baba

sacrificed his life. It appeared that there was a mutual exchange.

Everybody thought Baba gave up his life to save the life of Tatya.

Baba goes to any extent to save his devotees. He even sacrifices his

life. Both during life and in death, Sai comes to the rescue of his

devotees. Those people who serve Baba whole heartedly will have

nothing to worry or suffer. Baba never lets us down. He keeps his

Promise at any cost. There is no doubt about the fulfillment of

Baba's promise to his devotees. Not only does Baba carry our

burdens, but he saves us always risking his life even. He is our

saviour.

 

It is not that he is carrying the burden of your family. He will create a

feeling that he is carrying your burden. That feeling gives you relief. The very

fact that you have a family to be supported by you is the source of burden. “I”

and “mine” cause the burden. Egoism is my troublesome burden. It is my painful

burden " .

 

The very thought that " I am carrying the burden of my family is itself a foolish

and ignorant thought " . You must be free from that thought. Only then will you

understand who is really carrying the burden, you or somebody else. Even if you

want, you cannot really look after you and your family. It is God that takes

care of all. The burden is not yours, it is Baba's. Baba is carrying that which

you think you are carrying. In between, you have developed an illusionary ego

which is like a devil troubling you. That devil is egoism. It is the real and

painful burden. When you get rid of egoism and ignorance, you will realize who

is carrying the entire burden of the cosmos. Then only will you understand the

statement of Baba, " I am carrying your burden, " in its true perspective.

 

You are but a drop, Baba is the ocean. You are but a ray of light. Baba is the

sun. You are a limited body. Baba is the infinite consciousness. Sai Baba has

come to earth as reply to your questions. How am I to live? Why should I live?

What am I to do? How am I to do? And what is the goal of life? The burden of

your entire life is on the shoulders of Baba.

 

Both inside and outside Baba's life, everything is sweet, gentle, soft vibrant

and spiritual. Baba is but a blissful avatar. In many a story, he told his

devotees what they should do?

 

Baba wants all people, all over the globe to live peacefully and happily. We get

this human life because of our virtuous deeds in the previous lives. Therefore,

we should not misuse our precious life. We should develop devotion and get rid

of the cycle of birth and death. We must be in a position to obtain

self-realization. Baba keeps us free from all burdens so that we can progress on

the path shown by him easily and quickly to attain liberation. Remember, he is

doing a great favour by taking our responsibilities and by showing us the light

of wisdom. Therefore, let us not be egoistic and let us offer ourselves at his

feet in total self surrender.
