Drama called Veera Anjinayam in Prasanthi Nilayam

January 12th 8:00 pm - Drama called Veera Anjinayam by Students.

This evening in Sai Kulwant Hall there was a drama about Lord Hanuman

(also called as Anjinaya). The drama showed the scenes from Ramayana

that shows the devotion of Lord Hanuman to Lord Rama.

The drama showcased the devotion and trust Lord Hanuman had in Lord Rama. When going to Lanka and giving the message to Ravana.

They also showcased how Tulasi Das struggled to write Ramayana and how

Narada Muni helped him and guided him by explaining the meaning of

Sundarakanda (Ramayana is also known by that name). How Ramayana has

all the wonderful relationships, like a devotees relationship to the

Lord, in Lord Rama and Lord Hanumans relationship. A husbands

relationship between, Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. And a brothers

relationship in Lord Rama and Lord Laxmana.

Narada also explained that the journey Hanuman took to reach Lanka was

the journey every devotee takes to reach Lord. There are many obstacles

but he can overcome all of them if he shows true devotion to Lord. They

depicted this by showing Lord lead a devotee from the struggles of

Life.

At

the end of the drama when Goddess Sita offers a pearl necklace to

Hanuman. He breaks the necklace apart in search of Lord Ramas name in

it. And throws it away because it doesnt have the name of Rama. When

someone questions Him and asks Him what if Your body doesnt have Lord

Ramas name in it. Then He asks them to listen and Lord Hanumans body

resonates the sounds of Rama nama.

Then Lord Rama tells Hanuman that His deeds can be explained in many

words but his devotion cannot be explained in words. So Lord Rama says

all I can offer to You is Myself and hugs Hanuman.

Drama ended with all the performers singing a wonderful song, as they offered their humble pranams to Swami.

It was a grand presentation by the students who erected a stage

in front of the veranda. And used the space they had wonderfully well

to showcase the drama. More than 30 students in beautiful costumes took

part in the drama. The whole drama had nice voice overs and songs. The

whole dialogue of the drama was in English but the poems were in

Telugu, which was mixed very well and sounded really good.

Swami stood and took pictures with all the performers. And

also blessed all the students who helped in setting up the drama. Swami

blessed prasadam, which was given to all the devotees in Sai Kulwant

Hall. After aarathi Swami left for Yajur Mandir (swami's home) in

mobile chair.

When you think they cant make the drama any spectacular or

wonderful, they go ahead and prove me wrong and present one of the best

dramas seen in mandir in recent times.
