The Mission of Saibaba Avatar!

The Avatar has come during crucial period of mankind. The Avatar's time

frame extends from early 19th century to 21 st century. The spade work for Sai

Avatar was done silently by the first Avatar Shirdi Baba(1835-1918). Sitting in

an obscure village, He was able to extend His benign influence far and wide.

Many western devotees visited Shirdi and wrote their memoirs. Arthur Osborne is

one such Devotee. Shri B.V.Narasimhaswamy, a famous lawyer of Salem(Tamilnadu)

has made monumental work in South India to spread the fame of Baba to the

people of South. Due to his untiring work, many Sai Temples have sprung up in

almost all part of South India. Today Saibaba is a household name and known to

one and all. An important feature of Saibaba temples is the silent service to

the poor and destitute like " Narayana Seva " (anna dhana), free dispensaries and

free education. No doubt several devotees from North have spread the name of Sai

among the publc, most notable one is Dasganu Maharaj who by his discourses has

created lot of interest in the mind of audience. Hemadpant (Shri Dabolkar) who

is the author of " Saisatcharita " deserves much praise for his beautiful

contribution. Today Saisatcharita has come in many languages of India and is

read daily in many households of India. Almost all devotees who thronged Shirdi

were benefited one way or other. His fame spread through words of mouth and to

day Shirdi is a very famous pilgrim centre like Pandaripuram and Varanasi.

 

After the advent of Shri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthy, Shirdi Baba's

place of birth and His initial years were revealed one day by Sathya Sai Baba.

Till then none was able to ascertain His early life. The worship of Shirdi Sai

Baba had gained momentum throughout the world now. There are many Saibaba

centres overseas. The advent of Sathya Saibaba is specifically mentioned in

Padma Purana and other Religious texts. Even the Bible contain references.

Nosterdem has also predicted in his famous verses, the advent of the Avatar in

the East. The aim of both Saibabas is to guide humanity towards their goal of

realization of the Self through devotion and sacrifice. Sathya Saibaba says, " My

Life is My message " . He has heralded many service projects for the benefit of

mankind like free education, free health services through various super

speciality Hospitals, potable drinking water projects in many districts,

villages and cities. No government has so far undertaken projects of such

magnitude anywhere in the world. Now the Sai service projects are functioning

in most of the countries of the world. They do silent service to the poor,

downtrodden, and refugees of war torn countries. Swami does all so that we

may copy it and undertake such projects in smaller scales in our places. The

culmination of Sai Avatar will extend to Prema Sai who will take birth in

Gunaparthi in Mandya District of Mysore region. We all should get the benefit of

Sai Avatars by imbibing His teachings and practicing in our life. Sairam,
