Guest guest
On April 2nd, on Thursday is the Hindu festival of Ashok Ashtami on which day we do Puja to the Divine Adi Dampatulu namely Goddess Shakti and Lord Maha Deva or Shiva. To know more about this important festival, please click the link below http://www.hindupad.com/category/indian-festivals/ Then there is the Divine Festival of Sri Rama Navami on Friday, April 3rd. Apart from Ramayana which is the 3rd Divine Eye of Lord Siva placed in between the two eyes which are Great Maha Bhagavatam and Maha Bharatam, the next sacred story is YOGA VASISHTA,or Yoga Vasishta Maha Ramayana as it is also called. It is a work of about 32,000 Sanskrit couplets in 10 Chapters, traditionally attributed to Sage Valmiki. It is a Wonderful Divine Dialogue between Sage Vasishta and Lord Sri Rama, during which Advaita (the doctrine of non-duality) in its pure form of ajatavada (theory of non-origination) is expounded, with illustrative stories in between in between. This vast work was abridged some centuries ago by Abhinanda Pandita, a Kashmir scholar, into 6000 couplets, which go by name of Laghu Yoga Vasishta. This is a masterpiece in itself, like the original Brihat. If you have the time, Please read it before and on the sacred and most Auspicious day of Sri Ramanavami.
