It is common among youngman and girls who are brought up in luxurious environment, to become addict to some habits without which they won't be able to pass their time. Evidently, they have no footing in spirituality. They feel that communication tools serve only for entertainment purpose. They feel that it is normal to eat spicy dishes, chitchat with friends watching pictures and while away their time in some harmful manner. When they become burden to the parents, it will become late for the parents to correct their behaviour since they have been brought up in such atmosphere. Swami says that the parents are mainly responsible for the behaviour of their children. In this respect, the Mother is the foremost among the teachers. Though they can shower their affections on the little kids, the mother has to show her toughness when the children resort to some wrong behaviour. We should never cater to the whims and fancies of the children. Children generally love choclates, icecreams etc. The mother know that it will spoil the health as well as the appetite. In fact sweets spoil the children and they become rude in their behaviour. Savories are some times better than sweets. Swami has warned the young students not to resort to reading to comic books and horror stories. They distort their conscious invisibly. Hence Swami termed the Television as Televisham or Poison. In the name of pampering, we give undue freedom to the children with the result they become incorrigible in their adulthood. Hence Balavikas programmes were conceived by Swami in the begining. If in todays world, there is some sort of control, it is mainly due to those children who are trained in Balavikas. While talking to John Hislop, Swami has once said, that the world has not disintegrated because of Sai Devotees and their activities. There was a huge transformation during the previous decades which has spread alround the globe. Sairam, Saisaran.
