Guest guest
There are frequent discussions on "Fate and Freewill" even among spiritual seekers. This goes on from time immemorial. None could give a satisfying explanation. When we lead the earthly life relying upon our physical and mental capacities, we falsely assume due to "Ego" that we are the doers and enjoyers as well as the sufferers. Shirdi Baba once told a devotee, "Do not assume doership of either good or bad deeds. If you behave in an unassumed manner, your spiritual progress will be quick. Most of us, though devoted to Deities (God in the temples) are enslaved by the senses and ego. Hence, we feel that we perform rituals and we feel pride in assuming that we follow the tradition and we are really devoted to the Deities. Swami in many of His discources has expressed that there are no "Real Devotees". We are all part time devotees seeking always benefits and blessings from God for our own welfare and the welfare of our immediate families. Mostly we ignore the needs of other living beings who starve and struggle. Hence our Devotion is "Selfish" whereas Swami wants us to remain a Selfless, egoless, prideless devotees who devote themselves to God without any motive or without seeking any worldly or spiritual benefits. Love for Love sake. Though it is a hard path to tread, we have to focus on the supreme aim of becoming a selfless individual seeking God alone. Sairam. Saisaran.
