AUM SAI RAM

I

thought that the wish to have one of Baba's robe for our centre had come true at the end of July 2007, when the delegates

returned from the World Youth Conference in Parthi. I learnt that the Youth

Convener of the Solferino Sai Centre, one of the centres in the region of Upper

Plaines Wilhems where our centre, the

Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Curepipe was also found, had brought home one of the

1,5000 robes which the Most Compassionate Lord Sai had distributed to the

delegates. I contacted the mother of the convener by phone; then I contacted

the person concerned on the mobile number which his mum gave to me. Strange

enough, the vibes which reached me when I listened to the voice itself,

made me give up the idea of going to Solferino to feel the wonder of the

Omnipresent Lord. Baba could put me off any plan when I myself did not hold

strong beliefs in His Leelas. Transformation starts in one self; we should not

look for transformation in others. Why would I go to Solferino or any other

centre or place when Sai was with me all the time? Did I have the faith? Was I fully convinced of His Omnipresence?

Furthermore, one young lady in our centre was

also at Parthi for the Youth Conference; when she returned from the 'Yatra', I

sent her an email asking her:-

"Have you brought a robe for us?" She gave me a

reply verbally when I came across her at the centre for Thursday Kirtans. The

robe was hers personally, she said, Baba had given her strict instructions to

display the sacred robe on an arm chair in a room in her house and to gently

talk to the robe. However, she promised that she would bring the robe to the

centre when we have important activities. Well, I pouted at her reaction.

Momentarily, I had forgotten that me too I egoistically refused to give to the centre my

sari where the Sweet Sai Ram had left His Footprints.

'Life is a wheel; whatever we do, comes back to

us' is a philosophical truth that we, Sai devotees witness in our daily life.

On Sunday 23rd August 2007, we were holding 12

hours akhand bhajans at our centre. When I reached there in the early hours of

the day, I could not help seeing the robe which was displayed on Baba's

armchair. It was adorned with two garlands; one of fresh marigolds and one of

plastic flowers. I felt a pinch in my heart; an artificial garland was lying on

the much coveted robe! Further, the robe itself made me feel awkward; it was

too big, nay, oversized, for Our Sweet Little Baba. I sensed that the robe on

the armchair was not the one which Baba had meant for our centre. Nonetheless,

I took a few photos of the bhajan hall, of the charan and the robe and sent to

devotees and friends. Still later, Sai devotee Rajwantee came with the orange( the colour orange is the symbol of renunciation) robe

which Baba had dedicated to our centre. At the Lotus Feet of Sai
