Guest guest
The Ultimate Experience of Sri Sathya Sai World Youth Conference 2007 Prelude-2: The Night of Sweet Certainty (The Music of Love continues....) The time was around 12 AM midnight. I had been practicing the songs for Sai World Youth choir program from 3 hours. " Will I ever get the chance of sitting before the Lord of this Universe and sing? " , I wondered again. " But, is He not here? " , I asked myself, " Is He not hearing me now? " I started praying for a response from Him. I said, " Show me, Baba, that You are here. Make me cry, in love, just once. Touch me, please. " I switched off the light, lied on my bed and started playing songs on my laptop. I have a play-list of songs in my Windows Media Player, it's a list of songs which remind me of Baba. I play them with the option " Shuffle " ; that means you never know which song is gonna play next. The player picks the songs randomly. I was praying to Baba for His response, for a proof of His presence. And the song that came up was " Tere Binaa Besuwaadi Rathiya " !! (Film: Guru Composer: A R Rahman). It's a song that has a long story!! From the beginning of this year, Baba has been continuously using this song to show me His presence. Whenever I think of Him, this song would be heard somewhere! The song means: Without Thee, my Love...my nights are tastelessThey have no meaning, I try to pass them, they do not... I smiled thinking, " O Baba! What a timing is Yours! It's mid-night now and so aptly You play this song for me! " . But, immediately a doubt arose in my mind. This song says that my nights are tasteless as my Beloved is not here! But how is it possible, since my Baba is with me, right now? My Baba is with me, and hence my night cannot be tasteless!! No. It must be tasteful, sweet. I started praying to Baba again, " O Baba! This song says that my night is tasteless. Please show me that it's sweet. That would mean my Beloved is here. That would prove Your presence to me. Please bring the word ' sweet' in the next song somehow....Please.... " And, lo and behold...the next song that came up was this:Let me walk for rainbow, in times of " sweet " surpriseTo when I was a little girl and I had you in my life Time has no answer for words left unsaid...(Film: Kisna Composer: A R Rahman)I was overjoyed hearing the word 'sweet'....but the heart is never satisfied. How-much-ever Swami gives, it asks for more. Yeh Dil Maange more! I was reminded of the discussion I had with my sister that morning. I narrated to her some of my previous experiences, where I prayed to Swami to show me His presence and how miraculously He responded. She was very happy hearing all those stories, but gave a comment. She said, " Brother, you always keep asking Swami for proofs of His presence. How many times will you do this? At least once, wouldn't you be certain of His presence? " I was reminded of these words and then said to Swami, " Swami! I would be certain now, of Your presence, if You show me the word 'certain' in the next song.....Please, one last time. Make me 'certain' of Your presence. Please... " And you would not believe.....the following is the excerpt from the lyrics of song that played next: I'll make a wish and get you heaven then make you want to cryThe tears of joy for all the pleasure and the " certainty " That was surrounded by the comfort and protection of the highest power in lonely hours When tears devour you...(From Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden)I was shocked. I did not have anything else to ask. With the three words, " night, sweet and certainty " , He made that night for me, a night of sweet certainty of His presence, with me, in me..... always and forever. With tears of joy and love at the Feet of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Omnipresent God of Gods, the Absolute Embodiment of Love, I remain.Sandesh-- http://a-life-in-love.blogspot.com
