AUM SAI RAM

"You are

like the company you keep" rightly and incessantly says Bhagawan Baba. So, all

must avoid bad company - the corrupt, the back-bitter, the gossip-monger, the

drug-peddler to name a few. The corrupt, for example, is not only the one who

takes a bribe; the one who gives a bribe also is corrupt. Corrupt are also

those who corrupt the mind of people by inducing them into wrongful acts and

doings. Those who allow their mind to be corrupted are also corrupt.

Fortunately, integrity and honesty are two of

the greatest virtues which are innate in almost every human being. Hence, bad

company should be avoided at all costs. Bad company stinks.

If quarter

pound of Bombay duck or snoek salted fish were wrapped into a clean

handkerchief, inevitably the hankie will stink. On the contrary, if the same

handkerchief would wrap rose petals, it will definitely smell divine. Good

company exudes the fragrance of purity.

The snake

which lives in the deep forest of the jungle in the company of wild animals and

man-eaters is dreaded by all but the same snake when it adorns the neck of Shiv

Shankar Bhagawan is worshipped by each and every one. We should, therefore,

always and in all circumstances, choose the company of God and the godly to

realise the divine within.
