Guest guest
AUM SAI RAM How far is a Leela of Bhagawan Baba an act of his doing and not a creation of our mind? This is the oft question asked by many believers and non-believers of the divinity of the Lord of Parthi. Experiences by devotees, of course, speak of even a simple happening in their day to day life as a Leela of Bhagawan Baba. “O! Lord, you are the doer! I am only an instrument in your hands”. One week before Xmas, in 2006, I was at Prasanti Nilayam. Before I left home I had started to suffer from pain in my left arm. My left arm is my special arm as lymph nodes were surgically removed from under that arm for cancer analysis in 2005. However, the pain did not prevent me from going for the divine darshan of the Lord. My doctor had advised me to wear sleeveless cholis (blouse on sari) and to avoid tightening my upper arm. Fully aware that sleeveless blouses are not allowed in the darshan hall, I had brought thick shawls to wrap over my shoulders. For the first few days, I went in for darshan without problem, and then suddenly on the 19 December, I was stopped by a seva dal for body search. She run her hands under my shawl and reached my arms. She told me categorically that I was not allowed for darshan because I was wearing a sleeveless choli; I pleaded with her and told her about my arm. She replied that many come with breast cancer and they wear a loose kameez; she added that I should sit at the complete back. Normally, I never argue with the seva dals; I know they work under pressure. However, I said “Sairam! Baba is omnipresent!” Unfortunately, this truth infuriated the seva dal and she replied: “If Baba is omnipresent, why don’t you take darshan in your room?” “Ok, sairam, I will go to my room!” “No problem!” she said. I left heart-broken and returned to my room. Later, I went to bid Brother Jatindar Shad farewell as he was leaving for Delhi. He had planned to leave after darshan and bhajans. When I reached the Eeswaramma Café where he was staying, he was already in a cab, on his way to the airport. “Why was he leaving so early?” I asked his daughter. She replied that it was because Bhagawan Baba did not come for darshan.I smiled. In my heart, I knew that it was yet another Leela of Bhagawan; he did not give darshan in the hall because he was with me in my room!
