OMSAIRAM Dear Sai Hearts!

Could someone please give

me information about the

following mantra, its

translation, what it means

and its spiritual purpose?

I have searched on google

and found absolutely

nothing about it. It's as

if it doesn't even exist or

no one knows about it on

the internet (for

shame...lol)! It was on a

CD called Mantra Vibrations

that I bought out of India.

The mantra is

Sri Mahaganadhi Pathaye

Namaha. Just that line is

repeated over and over like

OM Namah Shivaya.

Thanks!

Sai Blessings,

Lisa

Re: [saibabanews] Information request about a mantra

Dear Friend

OM JAI SRI SAI RAM

To my little mind, the mantra is well pronounced " MAHA

GANATHIPATHAYE NAMAHA " . Ganas are the loose tranlation of " Budha

Ganangal " - the little army in Kailas. Sri Ganapathi, the Pillaiar,

is the Cheiftan of this force. Meaning Gana Adipathi. When combined

Maha (the adjective for something very very big) Ganathipathaye

Namaha - the grand lord of the budha ganangal, I worship you and

beseech you.

with SAI's Blessings

Re: Information request about a mantra

Sairam:

This mantra is addessed to Ganesha or Vinayaka, the Lord who

removes all obstacles, and is invoked before starting any worship or

spiritual activity. The meaning of this mantra is " I bow to the

great Lord of all celestial beings " . Ganas are the celestial army &

under the command of Ganesha. Hope this helps.

Re: [saibabanews] Information request about a mantra

Sairam Sister Lisa,

The Mantra Sri Maha Ganadhipataye Namah

is addressed to Lord Ganesha, elephant headed God whi is remover of

all obstacles. Sri is a prefix honorific added in India to any name,

Maha stands for great, Gana + Adhipati + ye means to the Leader /

Commander of Ganas (followers / soldiers of Lord Siva) and Namah

stands for salutations. In case my interpretation is not fully

correct some one can please correct the same.

In Sai seva,

Madhusudan Nori

Re: [saibabanews] Information request about a mantra

SAIRAM,

This is a very powerful mantra dedicated to LORD GANESHA,the remover

of all obstacles. This mantra indicates that GANESHA is the

adhipathi ,that is, the supreme in command to all

devas,rishis,ganas,etc

& that we offer our salutations to the primary god,to award us all

success in all that we undertake, before proceeding to offer prayers

to any other supreme power.

I dont know if i am communicative enough but atleast i wanted to

share what little i knew

Re: [saibabanews] Information request about a mantra

Sairam,

This Mantra is for invoking Lord Ganesha , the obstruction

remover. 'Maha' means big, 'GanadiPahi' menas Lord of Ganas or

Planets. This mantra will help you to overcome obstructions

which may have been created due to planetory arrangements.

Hope its helpfull. Hindus genrally use this as part of their prayers

while starting on a journey or some new projects etc,..

Re: Information request about a mantra

Dear Lisa

Just write to h2h and give the same information they

will send you the mantra with the translation. It may also interest

you to tune into radiosai.org and listen to their broadcast. A

special program is slated just for mantra bhajan and other puja's

done in the mandir. They will surely give you the answer and remove

your quest and inquiry.
