Guest guest
OMSAIRAM Dear Sai Hearts! Could someone please give me information about the following mantra, its translation, what it means and its spiritual purpose? I have searched on google and found absolutely nothing about it. It's as if it doesn't even exist or no one knows about it on the internet (for shame...lol)! It was on a CD called Mantra Vibrations that I bought out of India. The mantra is Sri Mahaganadhi Pathaye Namaha. Just that line is repeated over and over like OM Namah Shivaya. Thanks! Guest guest
MANI RVS <soakce Sun Mar 11, 2007 5:57 am Re: [saibabanews] Information request about a mantra Dear Friend OM JAI SRI SAI RAM To my little mind, the mantra is well pronounced " MAHA GANATHIPATHAYE NAMAHA " . Ganas are the loose tranlation of " Budha Ganangal " - the little army in Kailas. Sri Ganapathi, the Pillaiar, is the Cheiftan of this force. Meaning Gana Adipathi. When combined Maha (the adjective for something very very big) Ganathipathaye Namaha - the grand lord of the budha ganangal, I worship you and beseech you. with SAI's Blessings mani ---------- " kollengode99 " <kollengode99 Sun Mar 11, 2007 11:32 am Re: Information request about a mantra Sairam: This mantra is addessed to Ganesha or Vinayaka, the Lord who removes all obstacles, and is invoked before starting any worship or spiritual activity. The meaning of this mantra is " I bow to the great Lord of all celestial beings " . Ganas are the celestial army & under the command of Ganesha. Hope this helps. Sri is a prefix honorific added in India to any name, Maha stands for great, Gana + Adhipati + ye means to the Leader / Commander of Ganas (followers / soldiers of Lord Siva) and Namah stands for salutations. In case my interpretation is not fully correct some one can please correct the same.
