Ramayana should not be seen as a story of a king or abduction of his consort. It has deep underlying meaning. Brhmagnana deluded by desire is abducted by asuric tendencies. Hence it is separated from Atmarama. It has to be brought back to the original source to merge in it. Courage and discrimination searches Brahmagnana and finally it is restored to Atmarama. The ensued battle is between good and bad and ultimately good defeats bad and restores Gnana. Sairam. Dasaratha is body with five karmendriyas and five gnanendriyas. It has got Satwa Rajas and Thamas as the company. Sathya Dharma Santhi and Prema are the offsprings. When Sathya leaves the body, the body automatically perishes.
