Guest guest
Wherever we turn our attention, there is only pollution. Swami says that all the five elements are polluted to a very great extent due to the misdeeds of man. For these wanten transgressions, man invites catastropes in the form of Tsunami, earthquakes, frequent floods, tornodos and typhoons. Now he laments miserably blaming 'nature'. Scientists all over the globe are asserting that the emission of poisonous gases in the atmosphere creates holes in the ozone layer and melting of arctic ice is the effects of such 'global warming' The eco system has started disintegrating slowly. We witness the effects now. There is unseasonal floods all over the world. Torrential rain creates havoc. Many villages and towns, the world over are swept away instantaneously. Earthquakes spells much disaster and death. This happens both in industrialised nations as well as in third world countries. Forests are mercilessly destroyed for the timber wealth. Deep holes are dug in many places on the earth and ocean beds and continuous drilling takes place many thousand metres below the earth, to tap gases and oil. Water is pumped out from underground through deep bores to cater for the needs of increasing populations throughout the globe. Already several african countries are suffering due to lack of rains. There is famine in those countries. People fight for a piece of bread or a glass of water. There is no proper shelter to hide from heavy summer heat or deep winter cold waves. The government is concerned with their own survival. Civil wars break up in such places. What is the remedy? The affluent nations should share their wealth with those people and remove their sufferings. Nowadays billions of dollars are wasted in space travel and exploration in addition to man made wars, leaving the starving people uncared for. The leaders of political parties should shed their selfish pursuits and do real service to the poor and downtrodden. Sai Samithis, the world over has started their silence service activities long ago and they give a helping hand in such miserable situations and natural calamities. Sacrifice alone can render noble selfless service. Sairam.
