Guest guest
In every little activity, the ego rises subtly and we can not cognize the same. The ego takes two avatars. One is pride and other is self pity (inferiority complex). Also it assumes doer ship for all that fetches fruit and it conveniently ascribe others, the reasons for failure of a particular task. Hence we should be careful, not to get involved with the play of the ego. It easily entices all into its trap. Hence we must cultivate detachment in the worldly affairs and rivet our attention only on God. Swami has told once that the devotees should hold god with the right hand and the world with the left hand. The right hand hold will remain for ever and the left hand hold will become loose in course of time. We all fear death. ""Death is the dress of life"" said in the Bible. As we change our cloths every day after bath, the soul too changes its dress (body) when the same is dilapidated or diseased. For the evolvement of the soul, it has to jettison the karmic load by undergoing pain and pleasure in each birth. We do not know how many births have elapsed since the beginning. In each birth, we accumulate both positive and negative karmas, and this is the reason why we take birth in this mundane world undergoing the troubles of travails of existence. If somebody feels that the worldly life is joy, he is mistaken thoroughly. The joys of the world are `mirages in desert'. As long as we seek comforts and joy, they move away from our clutch. If you become desire less, then you can lead a peaceful life. Sairam.
