Guest guest
Swami has said once, "You all cry for worldly things like wife, children, education, employment, health, escape from fears of all sorts and enjoyment of worldly pleasures and treasures. Do you ever shed atleast one drop of tear for the sake of God?. The answer in most of the cases is clear "No". We cry only for worldly things and not God. Though we seek everything from God, we do not seek God Himself. This is the tragedy and hence people suffer continuously. When a very rich man, possessing big mansions, cattle and wealth approached Shirdi Baba for "Brahma Gnana", Baba told him, "I consider myself as fortunate, when people seek Brahma Gnana from Me. There is no dearth of people who seek worldly things. He made him to sit there for a while and diverted his attention to some other topic. Meanwhile Baba asked one boy to go the Nandu marwadi to get a hand loan of Rs.5/-. When the boy returned saying that "Nandu was not available", Sai asked him to fetch Rs.5/- from Bala, the grocer. Again the boy returned empty handed stating that Bala is also not available in his shop. Meanwhile, the rich man again pestered Baba, "Oh Baba!, Show me quickly how to get "Brahma gnana. Baba pecified him stating, "My dear fellow! Have you not noticed that I am in fact teaching you how to get Brahma Gnana. To get this precious thing, you will have to surrender FIVE things, Your five feculties, pancha pranas, buddhi, mind etc. Unless one leaves his attachment to worldly gains and security, one is not eligible to pursue "Brahma Gnan. Sir, you have 50 times five in your pocket. Remove it. The rich man removed the money from his pocket and started counting. To his surprise, there was 25 notes of 10 rupee denomination. He was surprised at the Omniscense of Baba and he laid himself at the feet of Sai. The attachment to the worldly pleasures and fortunes is like a crocodile which catches your feet and drag you more inside the ocean of samsar. Only when we remove the attachment or moha, we will be rid of the crocodile of samsar. Hence, let us try to get away from the viscious samsar. Sairam.
