Guest guest
Somebody questioned Swami Rama Tirtha, "Why there is so much anarchy and torture in the human society, why a man should suffer whereas God simply witness all these. To this, Swami Rama Tirtha replied, God alone IS in the entire world. He is the giver as well as the receiver. He punishes and He is the ONE who gets punished". A great philosophy underlies his statement. When everything is God, who is the giver or who is the receiver. Only when we imagine separateness, we feel all the pain and troubles. Hence Swami has said about all of us as "miserable little prison individualities". In this simple sentence, he narrates the miserable condition of individual soul who considers himself as a little self(separateness from the Divine) and hence this little self is imprisoned in individuality. When we consider ourself as an indivisible part of the 'whole', nothing in the world will affect our serenity. Sairam.
